Why is Philbin linked to the general manager's failures?
I dont deny there are Hispanic fans of the team. I hear there accents on the radio and see them on here. But the overrall culture of the city does not lend itself to american football anymore in an AGGREGATE sense anymore. If the city is mostly hispanic and full of transplants and retiree's on fixed incomes, it spells nothing but bad market to me.
I lived in Ft. Lauderdale in the 1980's for about 3 months. Nice weather. Different breed of people than other places I have been. I served in the US Army. Ive been alot of places, including stationed in Panama.
Eh. Itsmateo was saying that he'd pit Ireland's draft record against any other gms the past few years. Tough to have a convo with someone who actually believes that.
Cool story... but show me.
Give me a GM the past 3-4 years that has drafted the production we have. Don't give me the bull**** about our team being so weak that we start anyone, just give me statistics that say i'm wrong..... It's so easy to bash a team when you're hanging in or around the local beatwriters nutsack. Everything negative said on this forum is a total regurgitation of the next man.
Just once, I wish a negative nancy would give their own opinion. Ireland isn't the best GM, but he is damn sure better than what we had before and i'm not looking forward to seeing those years again....
The may not have been a strength, but they sure as hell were better than what we have now. Dansby is having a career year, while Wheeler sucks. So, we have had a massive downgrade at LB.
And "NO", LB was not the weakest unit. The OL was...duh...
That could only true if you believed all that crap some people here were selling about how o-line quality doesn't really matter.
Yeah right . . . 2013 Miami Dolphins, paper champions yet again. Meanwhile, in the real world, still flailing away in mediocrity. Just because you had projected them to be better than the Pats doesn't mean they were going to be. It just points out the glaring deficiency in your prognosticating skills.
Really? They were better at this time than what we have now? Check the stats. Wheeler and Burnett are a wash if anything. Ellerbe and Dansby show that Ell already has more to's than Dansby has had in his whole entire stint in MIA..... only in week 9, WITH 1 injured game out.. And also on his way to get more tackles.
Not to mention both of those guys are younger, cheaper and still getting used to the system/team.
the team is less talented than last year? really? Wallace was a bad signing? or the scheme and play calling is bad.
Progress in three areas....downgrade in three...dl is the same...still not making progress...Overall talent level is down...
Ellerbe : Tackles -66, sacks-1 , INT's -1, PD's- 4, FF's -0
Dansby: Tackles -78, sacks-3 , INT's -1, PD's- 12, FF's -1
In what world is Ellerbe's stats better than Dansby's? It sure isn't this world. Maybe you should check some facts before spewing BS...
Ugh read what I said.. "They were better at this time than what we have now?". Why would I use a comparison of their stats now that they're on a different team? The stats that count, my friend... Ellerbe and Dansby in the same scheme.
Dansby 2012: Gms 16 Tackles 134 | Total 101 | Assisted 33 | Sack 1.0 | FF 1 in 3 years | FR NONE in 3 years | INT 1 in 3 years | PD 9 | STF 7
Ellerbe 2013: Gms 9 Tackles 66 | Total 43 | Assisted 23 | Sack 1.0 | FF 0 | FR 2 | INT 1 | PD 4 | STF 2 < With 1 game out due to injury
well lets talk about all those other years of production by Ellerbee oh yea sorry he was sitting behind McClain.
Dansby is better this year and was better last year than Ellerbee, in fact he is better for his career. Dansby is 4 years older and has been a starter all of his career while Ellerbee has one season as a starter and only started due to injury
