Why isnt Dion Jordan a legitimate option at OLB?

It is well documented, in addition to the miles of game tape, that DJordan is a one trick pony as a pure pass rusher as a DE in a 4-3 scheme, and can't play the run. Any talk about him dropping in to coverage is akin to having JClowney drop in coverage. It dont make sense.

You obviously didn't see him play last year. I know I know, not many people saw Dion Jordan play last year.
I’ve perhaps left the most encouraging and valuable aspect of Dion Jordan’s 2013 rookie campaign for last: his ability to drop into zone coverage and to also play man coverage over the tight end in some situations.

Let’s start with the zone coverage first. Having a player like Dion Jordan allows the Dolphins, who run a base 4-3, to not only run some 3-4 and 3-3-5 looks but to also employ zone blitzes as part of their pressure packages. On this play the Dolphins have rolled out their dime package with 6 defensive backs. Jordan is standing up as a LB roaming behind the LOS:

really? C'mon maan. DJordan is not a man-to-man TE cover player, period end of story. That just does not exist.

I'm not saying he a pro bowl cover LB, but he can cover and can rush the passer. Granted he not the best against the run but he can fly to the ball and has to be accounted for. IMO he can be a turnover machine at OLB, whether causing hurries, sacks, fumbles, interceptions or confusion. He should def be starting week in week out. Difference maker we have to get on field.

Can you imagine him lining up over a TE on sane side as Wake, not sure whether he dropping or coming after QB!
