Why JC Tretter hasn't been signed

I've read in some places that Dieter is expected to continue to get better. Coming out of school in Wisconsin some thought he had a very high ceiling. He's been the C on a bad line and he's looked mostly average. On a good line with an intelligent scheme designed to maximize each line mans skills, every player will look better. As the starting 5 start getting snaps together they will improve and finally gel into a unit that can take it to the defense. What this produces is time for Tua to throw the ball and holes for our running backs to go blasting through. This offense will require some patience before it's clicking on all cylinders but when it does it's going to be a thing of beauty. We'll see if Dieter can take that next step. I'm sure rooting for the kid.
Dieter may improve or be ok at Center, but we still need another Center on the roster and I don’t think we have one.

I hope we draft or sign another one.

I'm a fan of Deiter. Outside of Linderbaum I don't think any of these other ones are going to be immediate starters. If we end up drafting someone like West or Tom (and I hope we don't since I'm not a fan of either of them) it will be for depth

I hope your scouting is better than your usernames defensive coordinating!

Dieter to me is a backup at best and a reason to be concerned if he plays a lot of snaps.

Good post. Anyone who knows anything about football knows Dieter has the potential to be a good starter. Not just gonna give up on him after a injury riddled season. The fools around there are just too enamored with fantasy football and Madden football

Tretter is driving the agenda of NFL free agents only accepting fully guaranteed contracts.

How would it look if he settled for anything less? I would bet he's looking for a fully guaranteed contract, or something damn near close to it. Teams are likely being patient to see how the draft goes and any cuts later this summer.

Too much going on with that guy. There's a reason talent isn't getting signed. Maybe there's a C in the draft one of our scouts or new coaches has inside info on.

J.C. Tretter would be a huge upgrade at center and I think the Dolphins should sign him. I agree with you that he does have ties to the players union and he had most of the Browns skipping practice for covid reasons that had something to do with the team underachieving, that being said, he was rated as one of the top center in the NFL last year and only missed like one game in five years so durability is not an issue.
