I do not get it. You see a lot of other teams doing it. If he is so athletic, let him use it. How many time do you see R Wilson sit back in pocket? If he does and there is any kind of pressure.....he rolls out. Makes too much sense to have a mobile Qb use his legs as a weapon. Look at the roll out pass to Hartline for TD. I just do not get it

This is my number one beef with the offensive system so far this year. I hated when it was not a staple the last two years and just assumed it would be incorporated this year. He is too good and throwing on the run to not use it. Look at the pass to Wallace 40 plus yards on the move that should have been caught for a TD in the first game.

The same reason Tannehill doesn't call audibles, because he is a robot programmed only to execute whatever play is called.

Probably because he doesn't do it well in practice. RT does not have great vision in terms of seeing what's developing right in front of him. On more than one occasion, I've seen him looking up-field for an open receiver as a defensive player is coming at him from right in front of him, and RT takes the sack seemingly unaware that the opposing player was even there. If you move him out into the open field, he's got to be able to sidestep defenders. I really don't think he can do that with any regularity. It's just not in his skill set and I suspect the result would be worse than keeping him in the pocket.

If Tannehill needs to move outside the pocket to throw, then what happens when the defense takes that away? I'd rather have a good pocket passer who can run WHEN NEEDED than a QB who sucks in the pocket.

The same reason why they did an entire season of go-go, traded Brandon Marshall, and used Reggie Bush like a power back. Philbin and Ireland are clueless.

That's probably the no.1 question fans have of him. His ability to throw on a roll out, or pick up a first by running. is it him not wanting to? Or is it his HC telling him not to?

The lack of rollouts and the lack of up tempo are my two biggest complaints with the offensive system so far.

Why develop a strong boot game around your QB who is good at throwing on the run? Why run play-action passes from under center when your QB is good at those plays? Why do anything that makes sense when you can do idiotic things? The Joe Philbin experience.

To do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result is the definition of insanity someone once said. Welcome to our offensive world. I don't know whose fault it is and I'm to the point that I don't care. Lay the egos aside and fix this mess. The talent is there. Fix it.

We got a QB whose traits are that he's good at throwing on the move and he has a strong arm. Let's run a rinky dink 3 step drop spread offense with him, sending all of our guys out on patterns that are between -3 and 6 yards deep. Good gameplan there. What could possibly go wrong?

Tannehill should just watch Russell Wilson.. ALWAYS picking up a 3rd and 1 with HIS FEET....... use your legs for god's sake

It's laughable. I don't even watch college football and I knew Tannehill was regarded as the best throw on the run QB from his draft class. Everyone knew it. It's one of the first things analysts mentioned during draft time when evaluating Tannehill.

First time I have heard this take on RT.
