Why we SHOULD draft Ginn...

I cant speak intelligently on his xrays but I have heard NO reports from anywhere nor has he dropped on the "experts" big boards, this would lead me to believe his ankle is gonna be fine.

Also he has been praised for his work ethic and committment so him not running yet imo is just another wacky draft ploy by him or his agent..he will probobly run closer to the draft to get the "buzz" going...

Either way he would be a gift to our team.

Although Landry would be awesome aswell

I agree, As someone else said I can see him running the week before the draft so his performance is fresh on everyone's mind.

i thinkwe can get better players at 9......wouldnt mind if we trade down

Ninth overall is too high for a #3 WR and PR/KR.

A great return man with the potential to be great is worth the #9, I thought # 16 was too high for a injured not very good saftey, but hey atleast Saban is gone now..

I've never been a fan of drafting Ginn because I hate the thought of Miami having another WR that drops passes. But after what has happened in the offseason so far I could live with the Dolphins drafting him at 9. He could bring alot to the team that the other top WRs that will be available in this draft can. I'm leaning towards Ginn, Brown, Landry, Revis, and Hall at 9. Unless of Course Quinn is there hes the definite pick.

I have noticed alot of anti Tedd Ginn posters, and let me tell you I can see why on the surface you would think he's not a good pick BUT...

Did you know he has only played WR 2 seasons in his entire life?? That means as he learns the position he will continue to improve drastically.

While he is learning the art of WR in the mean time he can just go ahead and be the Devin Hester of the AFC, Our strong point will be our attacking relentless defense, this man WILL change field position for whatever team he plays for....instead of needing 3 first downs for a FG after we force a three and out with Ginn maybe we only need 1 or 2...With a questionable offense things like this are huge!

Ginn is just your run of the mill "fast" guy as far as the 40 goes..but from 0 to 60 he will be the fastest man in the NFL...hard to overthrow this guy.

Many people I feel are undervalueing Ginn overall..I will be very excited if we can land him.

...so you're advocating we use the #9 overall pick on a developmental player?

I just see him as a major reach at 9.

How did you come up with Ginn has only played 2 years at WR in his entire life? You are not aware he was a WR at OSU the past 3 years?

Name a WR that was not dominant in college, which Ginn wasn't, that became a legitimate #1 in the NFL. I do agree that his impact on special teams would be significant. IMO Ginn would be a luxury pick at #9 but we have too many needs to be in a position to draft for luxury.

Sorry but after last year I will puke if we select another Tennessee player, last years was a joke and sorta left a bad taste in my mouth.

The problem with that statement is that means if Peyton Manning was in this draft right now you wouldn't draft him if he came to us just because he went to Tennessee. Honestly, I'd be happy with either Ginn or Meachem, but I'd much rather acquire them after trading down.

I agree with you on Allen. But that doesn't mean Ginn isn't a reach at 9. He most certainly is.

This is why we need Ginn,
1. First he is one of the fastest guys in the draft.
2. Besides being fast he has great moves and can make people miss. (Alot of the other really fast guys people are talking about drafting dont have moves like him.)
3. Has never been hurt in a game by anyone else besides his own team mates.
4. Has good hands, doesnt drop many passes.
5. Nobody is a better kick returner or punt returner than Ginn in college this year.
6. We need the deep threat.

This are the bad things about Ginn.
1 Still needs work on running routes.
2. Is rusty since not running for a while.
3. Hard to understand while talking (good thing he inst a qb like in High School).
4. Never seen him take a big hit. I dont know how he will hold up.

Ok those are the pros and cons but I think this is a guy we need to draft if the Vikings dont draft him. Maybe we can trade down several picks and draft him. I will be first in line to get my Miami Dolphins Ted Ginn Jr. Jersey.

Every rookie is a "developmantal" player.....some come in and are great off the bat but not very often??

Manning wasnt great when he was drafted but he DEVELOPED into a great player, so my point was he has a sky high cieling yet to be hit..I remember another Buckeye Chris Gamble who payed CB only one full year and was considered by some as a "reach" but he has gotton better every year and is playing at a very high level.

Fella's Ginn is rated as high as he is for a reason..we have a need at WR and in the return game, IMO Ginn makes perfect sense at #9 although I might rather have Landry(to help make up for that retarted pick at 16 last year)..but Ginn is a player with huge upside at a need position that can contribute right away as a return man..makes sense to me.

I agree

If Ginn is healthy and can run as fast as ever then I'd love for us to draft him...I think we could move down and take him in the 10's....we haven't have a playmaker like that at WR since the Mark brothers were in town.

Ozzy rules!!

I dont undervalue his lack of working out over an ankle bite. If he cant go after that, then what will he be in the long term with injuries and staying out of games.

Im sorry, the most overrated guy in this first round to me is Ginn. Anthony Gonzalez is a better football player IMO. Ginn is going to be reduced to a special teamer mostly. At #9, no no.

With the latest news that there is a good chance he won't even run before the draft and the injury could be worse than originally thought, Ginn may slip all the way out of the 1st round all together. Definitely should not be an option at 9.

even if he doesn't run there is no way hes out of the first round, i doubt hed even drop past 20 in the first round...

teams know how fast he is, hes one of those guys where you dont need to see him run a 40 to know his speed... hes game fast, game faster than any recent college player ive seen come out, including reggie bush... i dont think not running because of an injury is going to drop him that much...
