Why We Support A.J.

Sorry, your wrong, ...partly. You are right great qbs show a feel for the game, a natural instinct. But to to ignore how a team can play into a developing qbs performance is ridiculous. Eli had a better system around him and he looked totally lost, he doesnt suk. Yes AJ has 3 years in the league coming into last year, but 5 games as pro and 8 games in college. He was not a seasoned vet, he was and is a project, one that needs time to adjust and gain experience. Yes the team can play into his development, like it or not. AJ may not be great, he may be very good, but NO qb will look great in the offense last year. Ignore what you wish, but the team did factor into AJ's play.

My point is that you can observe "feel" independant of the team around him. Even a totally lost looking Eli showed "feel", AJ didn't.

Why don't you build a team trying to get one of the all time best defenses? To me you always start with the defense. I want a killer defense and a strong running game and I'll settle for an adequate passing game if we get the other two

I think what he is saying is that if the only way you'll be successful is if your defense is among the best in history you don't have much margin for error. A "killer" defense won't be enough you'd need an all-time great D.

I guess I don't buy totally into your feel thing about AJ, I think his lack of playing had more to do with that, than his instincts. He's played QB for a long time and rust does set in when you don't play alot. I think Gus will have a little of that when the pads goes on..but once a comfort level is acheive and you know exactly what everyone is doing, that feel thing comes into hand when trying to buy time..I think you need to give him a little more time, before you make a "judgement without doubt" of his ability to feel a D's pressure or weakness. Right now, I'll say he's more focused on a receiver than on the D. That's a sign of learning and not knowing the O.

Not quite. The ceiling is much higher for Losman. We already know AJ's boundaries.

I guess your wonderboy would have done wonders had he been a fin last year rather then AJ....Oh wait, your wonderboy with all the "upside" couldn't even make it through camp healthy and he was only a backup to Bledsoe in camp!! How is it we know AJ's boundries, when has he had a fair chance?? You are so lacking in basic football knowledge. You make statements out of hope rather then knowledge and then try to pass it off as knowledge. Do us a favor and go back to your site and make uneducated predictions I know your team fans will love it because you actually think your team is good.

You Jill fans remind me of that little kid always following around the bully trying to live off his rep. You have one avg. season since 99 and now your this football machine. It must be nice to be so full of yourself, If you think anyone here thinks the Bills are better then the fins you're dreaming. If they do then they havn't been paying attention. This whole thing with our team is better then yours and vise versa, is old and played out. We will see who's team is better when the time comes. Till then try reading, because whomever is giving you football info is completely lost. And if you have the knowledge about whats really going on, but refuse to use it, then you don't deserve to post anywhere much less here.

We'll see. I believe you can know by watching a few games. Some coaches believe you can know by watching just a few passes. You just have to know what you're looking for. I'm sure it's not absolute, but I believe that the assessment can be as accurate (maybe moreso) as the one made after 1000 passes.

I hear ya, I actually hopes he gets a chance to throw that many passes, but I get the distinct impression Saban's going to do a make over in his own image. So a lot of the players we love now, may not be on the team when 1000 passes are thrown..anyway I've watched AJ a lot last year and think his problems rely more in learning than feel..instincts kick in when you absolutely know what you're doing..

Either way I just hope whoever is QB is that they produce and dont make stupid turnovers thats all I really want. The dont have to be a superstar.
