Why we will go 10-6!!!!

We'll win between 5-7 games because:-

our schedule is tough
we STILL don't have an O-line
we STILL don't have a QB
our secondary is suspect

Along w/all the coaching changes (especially offensive HC and defensive HC), new player personal, and offensive/defensive philosophy.

I'm really surprised that a lot of the posters here expect 10 wins or more plus the playoffs. I think the long winning traditional Miami has made has blinded a lot of fans.
 
I think we will be very competative this year the front 7 on D is strong and they seem to have grasped the system..we are going to need them to play lights out because the secondary is a weak spot. The O will get better as the season progresses (especially when we get RW back) but with the schedule (we got screwed) 500 is the ceiling I think.
 
We are going to go 4-12. Why? Because an optimist is never pleasantly surprised. That's why. (oh, and the fact we have the same exact JFL quality OL as last year)
 
I actually think our D will be good this year and will force turnovers, but the passing offense is going to be very inconsistent and therefore we just won't score enough points to beat most teams. The running game will only score TD's if the passing game is a threat in the red zone, otherwise they'll just run-blitz and key on the backfield.

Yep teams were just beating down his door to give him a shot at a starting QB job........... oh wait NONE even gave him the chance.

As for the actual thread subject.....

7-9 - 9-7, the swing dependent on one big play or missed opportunity. The defense will keep us close in some games and the Offense will start to click late in the year.

I think that this is very possible, I think it is possible that we loose a couple of these games and pull off some upsets too. 10-6 is possible, the schedule is not that hard. The toughness is based on last years teams and we have 3 + 500% teams in our division from last year that I believe we have pulled close enough to split with. Remember we were a 10-6 average team over the previous 3 years and we went into a spiral last year. I belive this line is better than the one we had with brent smith, todd wade, tim ruddy, jaimie nails and todd perry. I think wade is the only one still in the nfl. We have upgraded fiedler and the D line is much improved. 6-10, 8-8 is the safe bet and what the tv guys are putting in everyones heads. The first 6 games are not that hard we could be off to a good start and get the system working 90-100% by mid season and use that momentum toward a playoff push. Go phins!

NOTHING is impossible. I bet you were right there in predicting SD's turnaround last year? There is a lot of parity in the NFL right now. Anything can happen. Now in all reality, I see us being more like 7-9 or 8-8. A lot can happen during the season.
 
here's my thought:

we win these games, Broncos, Panthers, Bucs, Saints, Pats (at home), Browns, Bills (at home), Jets (at home), and Titans

that would make us 9-7 including a 3-3 record in divison play
