So you see this in nearly every story -- that Incognito will never play for the Dolphins again.

Who has made this decision? As nothing "official" has been stated, why is it written with such certainly again and again?

It looks as if all the Dolphin players back Incognito. It looks as if Martin may have flipped out a bit. It looks as if this might not be exactly what it seems to be on the surface.

So why has this decision supposedly been made? And what gives these reporters such confidence to be able to state it so clearly? I seriously doubt that they would unless someone high up told them. Did Ireland sell Incognito out before he knew what was going on in order to try to seem on top of things?

Dolphins team source leaked to the media that this was the case. Team was 'fed up' with another 'Richie' incident.

Armando Salsuckso swears he was told by an high ranking inside source. Then again its Armando and he blows chunky nuts so....

The ONLY way I believe Incognito plays for Miami again is if by some miracle him and Martin both do a press conference calling a truce to the whole situation, give a big middle finger to the media in the process and then go out and play some ball.

Other than that, I think it would be rather difficult to overcome these alleged voicemails/texts. So what if he's not a racist, so what if it was a joke, so what if the lockerroom agrees with it . . . it doesn't look good. Greg Williams was just doing what many D Coordinators at both the college and pro level do . . . but once it gets out there in such a negative light its not even worth it to continue bringing that negative press in. It's much easier to cut ties with that player from a PR perspective. Fair or unfair.

I wouldnt be shocked now, what with all the team leaders and those not even a part of the team any longer taking RI's side, and if he is exonerated, has the suspension lifted and is allowed to rejoin the team.

The irony in all of this is that Incognito isn't even a good player. He's given up like six sacks this year.

Another Richie incident? Did I miss something major over the past 5 years?

The Fountainbleau punching incident. The Antonio Smith incidents. The Richie constantly being brought up as a dirty player for stuff he did in the past stuff.

Im not taking RI's side but lets be fair here. We all know and saw what happened...

The reason I don't think he comes back has nothing to do with this incident...

While Richie has played well he still isn't the best fit for the type of offense they desire to run (ZBS)

He will command a decent chunk of change and at his age the decline could be as rabid as Clabo's was and for about the same amount the team could get a much younger player who is a better fit.

Agreed. 100% agreed.

I honestly do think that Richie, after getting on the right meds and learning about transcendental meditation with Ricky Williams, started to turn his life around. And I do believe that Antonio Smith's record speaks for itself as much as Richie's does. Look that one up.

But, he still has problems and he still can't quite stop himself from crossing the line.

Why do these 100 kids <<<- get no press coverage after being kidnapped but this kid ->>> becomes front page news? Because some network executive decided this and this is how it is. And none of the rest of it matters. Which is why you guys need a new OL. It's already been decided.

Put aside your feelings for this situation and ignore Incognito's history.

Now that thats been accomplished(it hasnt but play along): why should Incognito play for the Dolphins again? Hes been an alright but not great guard. He turned 30. He made the pro-bowl largely on name recognition. We just drafted his replacement(who admittedly is struggling).

I know people are bent because they feel like hes being thrown under the bus, but i thought to plan was to cut him anyways. We did just spend a third round pick on Dallas Thomas.
