Why Will Incognito Never Play for the Dolphins Again?

Put aside your feelings for this situation and ignore Incognito's history.

Now that thats been accomplished(it hasnt but play along): why should Incognito play for the Dolphins again? Hes been an alright but not great guard. He turned 30. He made the pro-bowl largely on name recognition. We just drafted his replacement(who admittedly is struggling).

I know people are bent because they feel like hes being thrown under the bus, but i thought to plan was to cut him anyways. We did just spend a third round pick on Dallas Thomas.

U know damn well we can't draft

When you draft a OG and 2 CBs in the 2nd and 3rd round and your offensive line is on a record pace for sacks given up and you are sending Nolan Carroll back on to the field with bruised ribs, while the 3 draft picks don't play . . . you know you have problems drafting.

Well...yes.

Okay, let me rephrase: assuming we fire Ireland's dumbass, why should Incognito stay, etc etc etc.

I think it would be the goal to replace Ritchie Incognito with a player that better suits this offensive scheme, however Miami also valued Ritchie's leadership on the line so who knows how much weight that had with wanting to resign him or replace him.
