Will Poole is was to particpate in Lamor Odom's celebrity basketball game this weekend in Queens, ny. I herd because of his injury he will only be coaching now. He's walking without cructhes now and the mobility in his injured knee is returning. Good news for Dolphin fans. I'm out!

there is absolutly no reason why this guy should be playing basketball..........if this is true....

Well it would great news to hear if Will Poole is recovering quickly, there might be a chance he can play sometime this season (althought I'm not counting on it.) I was going to say though, there's no way he's going to be playing basketball after his injury, but coaching yeah. Great to hear that he's walking without crutchers, wish him a quick speedy recovery.

I don't know if it's true either but the poster said that he would "participate" in coaching, not actually playing. Althought the title is a bit misleading saying "playing basketball kinda". Don't feel bad, I was under the impression that he said he was playing, but I re-read it and he'll only be coaching.

Wasn't he put on IR?? So recovered or not he is still out for the season right? That's just my understanding of IR and I thought I read somewhere he was put on that list. I hope it's not true and he can return.

Nope, not yet. He could return for maybe the last 3 or 4 games of the season.

I am glad that he is recovering and i hope that he will be fully recovered at the end of the season.

No where did anyone say Will Poole is still playing basketball this weekend. It said he was COACHING. Why do people pull things out of the air on the internet and run with them?

I thought that I read somewhere that he was placed on the IR, but I could be wrong.

Exactly. Read people...READ! I'm just glad he's out there having fun and not moping around depressed about his injury.

He had an ACL correct?

You should be walking without crutches 2 weeks after surgery...especially if you're an athlete.

Thank you Dr. Losman7. We'll be sure to contact you for future knee advice

Walking without crutches after 2 weeks out of surgery with a repaired ACL. That is borderline time just for the staples to come out  You may be "moving" without crutches but you won't be "walking" as we know it.

its not a bad assumption to make giving the kinda of season ending injury an ACL usually means, but he did it early and im going to assume that Saban believes he could heal in time to make a contribution at the end of the season.

Dude, I've had two ACL's done, I was walking in 2 weeks both times...and I was just a college athlete.

For the record I've never seen staples on a knee before either...because you move your leg imediatly after surgery, and any staples would rip the skin...
