Will Ronnie Ever Be Better than Ricky?

Ricky Williams is a HOF caliber back. Those dont come around every year. As of right now Ronnie Brown blows dogs for quarters. The guy has done NOTHING to prove himself. You'll have a much better idea of what kind of back he CAN BE after week nine.

His potential is there, but he has to start getting some carries and show what he can do week in and week out.

I don't see him ever putting up 1800+yds like Ricky did for us a few years back.
All potential means is you havent done anything yet.

I have a job and I have to work nearly every Saturday. I have Sundays off and reserved for the Fins....

That being said - I don't really get to watch hardly any college football.

I remember seeing Cadillac Williams play - but I really didn't see any of Ronnie Brown in college. Some of my buddies tell me he was great - of which he must have been to be drafted # 2 overall.

However - what I've seen from his limited play in the last two games - makes me wonder -

Do you think he'll ever be as good as Ricky Williams?

Keep in mind that RW's rookie season was slowed by an ankle injury. Therefore, RB has a chance to have a better rookie season than RW. New Orleans obviously felt that Deuce was a better all around back. I think Ronnie is the same. However, as far as being a pure runner, I don't think RB or Deuce have the instincts that RW does.
With respect to the preseason we didn't see RB involved in the passing game that much. I've got a feeling there are some nice pass plays designed for RB that won't be revealed until the regular season starts.

Moronic post. He's a better prospect than McGahee (and I'm a UM fan).
He's bigger, faster and a better receiver. From all indications he's also a decent person.
There is no reason to use rude and vile remarks about the guy. Go to another forum.

With the exception of the one comment you took offense to, that post was right on. Ronnie hasn't done anything yet. Until he steps on the field and puts up some numbers he is nothing more than potential. If not for some poor choices, Ricky was headed straight for the HOF.

Ok, you keep riding on that high horse without reason. Youll be a very sad person at the end of the season.

Ronnie Brown is the Phillip Rivers of RB's. Ricky is the RB for the Phins for a while.
