Will You Trust Saban's QB Choice?

Not if he chooses Frerotte. If he does, it'll be a short-sighted choice with no consideration to letting the young QB develop on a rebuilding team. It would prove he's out for his own comfort rather than the good of the team.

Having said that, I seriously doubt Frerotte comes out of this camp the starter.

Umm, do we have a choice? We can all sit at home and play arm chair QB in any case, he has a 50-50 chance of making the right decision. Either way, I will wait and see. I hope if he goes with Gus it will be a step up from last seasons QB performance.

I think we will be safe of this.......

I just hope one of them gets the job done, I don't care who

I, like you, wanted Feeley to be our QB. But after going to a few camps I have to say that neither QB has earned the starters job so far. They both have looked good on some plays, and pretty bad on others. I'm hoping that in the weeks to come 1 of these 2 distances himself from the other. As far as what you say about developing a "young QB" on a "rebuilding team" Feeley is not too young, and Saban is building this team to win now. If the competition between these 2 QB's continues at the same pace it realy doesnt matter who starts this year because Saban will be getting a new QB next year.

is he gonna sit Seau? Zach? Sam? Is he gonna let all of the younger players play just because in a fan's view its a rebuilding season? Why did he sign Holliday, Carter, Traylor, Spragan, etc?

so basically you're saying that its stupid to play the better QB if Frerotte is that guy?

Saban has already said MANY times that this team is not rebuilding. He plans on winning now.

I trust EITHER choice he makes.

I trust that the coaches have more football knowledge than me. I also trust that they know better than me what is good for the team. I'll trust that whomever is named the starting QB, he'll have proved to the coaches that he's the better man for the job.

Whoever he picks will get my support. I support any Dolphin that takes the field. That will not change. I trust Saban's judgement.
Took words out of my mouth.

So my question is this, will you trust Saban's decision when he names a starter at QB? I personally would like to see Feeley as our starter, but if Saban picks Frerotte, I will support him without any skepticism. That's the biggest difference in having Saban this year, and from suffering under Wannstedt the last few years. I believe Saban's decision will absolutely be what is best for the team at this moment. With Wannstedt, I was never sure if he really thought Fiedler was the best choice, or if he was playing it safe and trying to keep his job.

Why would'nt I trust Saban's choice?

He's a coach we were all happy that we got. Until he proves he's unworthy of that trust I'll trust him. I'm just happy it isn't Wanny making the decisions now. I believe that Saban is a more than capable coach and personell evaluator.

Sorry, had a Wanny flashback. Old Dave used those words way too much last season as he roatated QBs. :shakeno:

I'd love to see Feeley win the job and do well. He is still young enough to be the QB in Miami for at least another 5 years or so, while Gus would be good for this year -and maybe 2006 before old age really sets in.

Not to mention having cost a very high second rounder, which is only worth it if we get some solid years out of AJ. Also, going with Gus means the Dolphins will be drafting or trading for a QB in 2006 instead of addressing other needs.

BTW, I'll support whoever Saban chooses, but Feeley starting would be the best case scenario for the team.

I was all for getting Saban. I believe he is teh guy to return the Fins to greatness. So if I feel that, then I have to trust his decision,.....and I do!
