Our day-one draft needs: qb, ot, og, c, dt, olb, mlb, cb and s.

Realistic Options for our 1st pick...
qb - Jay Culter (Vanderbilt)
ot - Eric Winston (Miami (FL)), Winston Justice (USC), Marcus McNeill (Auburn)
og - NO VALUE
c - NO VALUE
dt - Claude Wroten (LSU)
olb - Chad Greenway (Iowa), Bobby Carpenter (Ohio St.)
mlb - D'Qwell Jackson (Maryland)
cb - Tye Hill (Clemson)
s - Michael Huff (Texas), Jason Allen (Tennessee)
 
I think that Cutler rises up draft boards from great showings in combine, interviews and the Senior Bowl and is out of our reach come draft day.
Chad Greenway will be our pick, we get an upgrade from Junior Seau at the OLB position and we will have one of the best LB corps in the NFL. Not to mention young.
Also Saban gets his big defender that he wants with Greenway at 6-4 245.

Why is MLB a need? everyone knows crowder is the heir to the throne.

I remember when we had a sick defense. we didnt have an offense. and we barely made it into the playoffs (sometimes even missing it)

Everything hinges on a great QB. Someone that can bring a dynasty to Miami. I dont know if we find him in draft or through free agency, but that should be our number one concern. Not having a great defense (id argue ours is amazing as it stands. using a first rounder to upgrade a great defense to make it even better with glaring problems seems silly to me.)
 
A great QB doesnt mean you will win the superbowl, a great QB doesnt lead you to the superbowl a Great Team does

I say keep Daniels at starting CB and let Poole recover from injury where he can be out of the spotlight- at nickel corner. As for clements i like him as long as he doesn't charge too much, especially considering he didn't have his best season this season.

But with DW and Rick the ditz gone, we have really great evaluators at talent. It wouldnt surprise me one bit if we'll get a future franchise QB in later rounds. (And, personally, I'm still hoping for Carr, anyways)

So we sign perterson and can afford no one else for free agency and your plan has already backfired. I vote against that. Remember, we are still over the cap at this point. I know we will go under, but not nearly to the neighborhood of $20 million as some are saying.

i think at the most 7 teams could take a QB before us, please dont bite my head off for saying that. i know teams might be looking for the QB of the future but taking a QB is also a risk so lets hope they don't. these are:

Houston Texans
New Orleans Saints
Tennessee Titans
New York Jets
Oakland Raiders
Detroit Lions
Arizona Cardinals
