Woman alleges harassment from Incognito?

I doubt you have to look too hard to find incidents like this from Incognito's past. If you're of the type to do this kind of horrible **** once, you're of the type to do it several times.

It all fits into the portrait of someone who thinks they're impervious to consequences and doesn't think they have to apologize for anything. If you're bothered by him, it's because there's something wrong with you -- with your ability to take a joke, or have thick skin -- rather than anything ever being wrong with him. That's his default mode. But I suppose the general consensus of the forum will be to think the woman should have fought back with Incognito rather than going to her superiors and her police, perhaps by running him over with her car. I'm sure that's what Jeff Ireland would have advised.

Sort of amazing, isn't it? The number of people who have to be cheats or liars or money grubbing or dirty... just so Incognito can be a nice guy who's reformed and a great teammate? Eventually you'd think the sheer numbers would get to people, but somehow the excuses keep flowing.

Another aspect to this that's sort of floating by people's attention: the drunkenness. Incognito was apparently drunk when he was assaulting this woman. Small wonder that Clabo says Incognito was drunk when he left that message for Martin. Maybe poor little Richie has a problem with the bottle, too, on top of everything else.

I definitely think alcoholism plays a role in this. You can see it in the TMZ video. For the Dolphins to cover this incident up, not push Incognito toward going to rehab, AND put him on the leadership council shows an insane lack of leadership or direction. Just absurd.

You seriously take being a homer to new levels...

Thousands of cases are settled out of court and never heard from again but every news item posted on the Fins you have the same reaction.....fire everybody. Let it all play out was my point.

i just saw the video of incognito shirtless at the bar on deadspin. dude is a moron who obviously cant handle liquor. i'd bet this is true and you can wave goodbye to him ever playing the nfl again.

Sounds like a normal Tuesday for Gronk. So what?

Mr. Incognito unsettled my wicket at a croquet tournament last year. A lawsuit is forthcoming, I say!

How can anyone possibly believe this is what a functional organization looks like??

Ross needs to hire an exterminator and rid the whole facility of ****roaches -- Incognito, Martin, Ireland and whoever else he feels necessary.

It's damning evidence against Incognito's character and relevant to the events that have transpired over the past few days.

WOW !

The ignorance level of the legal system on this borad is staggering ! Ok kids she files a police report and the police must investigate. Are we to beleive the Phins security had the report squashed ? Could have happened but why would the agreeved party not continute to pursue it (hmm, why does that sound so familiar?).

One call to Gloria Alrad and it's game on. Why wait over a year ? Hmmmmmm ? Maybe becasue her lawyers know it's now or never ?

Guys stop falling for this !*&^%%$# !!!!!

so who still wants to defend ireland?

Fixed.

How the **** is he rolling into the season with a suicidal LT, an alcoholic LG who's a night out away from a jail cell, a gun running center, a cheeseburger loving sugar addict RG and the worst RT in the league?

I know these teams are filled with a bunch of dopes and thugs. But management cover-ups, and making this guy a leader recognizing his issues, all this crap... I am not quite sure if all organizations are like this. In any case, all the airing of the dirty laundry will burn this org to the ground. Who knew it only took one weak-minded Ivy Leaguer to bring the whole thing down.

Dude, I agree that Richie is a putz, but come on. Come on. We just traded for Bryant McKinnie. We literally just traded for Bryant McKinnie. This is the NFL.

Michael Vick did a year in federal prison and immediately came back to work, and is considered a leader in the Eagles locker room. In fact, I think he was made a captain.

There is MORE that will come out about Richie. Richie is an idiot. This stuff is going to keep coming for weeks. It's why even though I think Jon Martin's camp has acted horribly unethically here, I have very little sympathy for Richie. Richie has brought this down on himself.

And this isn't going to end his career, by the way. It might end his career with the Dolphins, but someone else will 'give him another chance to redeem himself.' Just like Vick, Cedric Benson, etc. etc. etc.

Richie will be fine, even if his career is over in the NFL he'll get a radio or TV gig, he's probably the most well spoken member of our entire team, including the coaches and the PR people (when he's sober that is).

Yep, I'm not worried about Richie. He will come out and say he's an alcoholic struggling with addiction, have a cry, go into rehab, and get signed by a team that needs a decent guard.

I'm far more worried about the Miami Dolphins right now. When you lie down with dogs...

The next Dan Sileo?
