Woman alleges harassment from Incognito?

I can almost guarantee you Martin knew about this and the Martin camp had the police make this public to further smear Incognito.

Very likely... He was probably with Incognito at the time... It probably bothered him, but like a wimp he did nothing to stop it, just sat there taking notes on how to use this when he blew up the team when he couldn't handle the stress of being an NFL player.

Ross is going to wait for the NFL investigation to run its course. He's known about this incident for over a year and they surely knew it would surface before now.

You think Ross knew about this incident? I think its very likely this never made it up to Ross because it would have led to some firings... If Ross was in on the cover up too, get him the eff out of here...

Of course Ross knew about this incident. And I'm sure that internal disciplinary action was taken. I mean, the team lawyers had the woman sign a confidentiality agreement...
 
How do we know for certain that the woman was not Jonathan Martin?

wow, just wow. what an embarasment. I don't even know what to say right now. This team is garbage. Putrid, rotting garbage, and it starts at the top.

Yep, everything and anything Martin witnessed since he's been here will be aired. Scorched earth policy and it probably won't be limited to Incognito when its all said and done.

It's a football team. Football players are not angels. Of course, Richie is a bigger idiot than most, but at least he's not Cedric Benson or Michael Vick. That we know of. Yet.

That said, Remember Bill Parcells said when he didn't want thugs or hoodlums on his team? :sidelol:

I know these teams are filled with a bunch of dopes and thugs. But management cover-ups, and making this guy a leader recognizing his issues, all this crap... I am not quite sure if all organizations are like this. In any case, all the airing of the dirty laundry will burn this org to the ground. Who knew it only took one weak-minded Ivy Leaguer to bring the whole thing down.

I doubt you have to look too hard to find incidents like this from Incognito's past. If you're of the type to do this kind of horrible **** once, you're of the type to do it several times.

It all fits into the portrait of someone who thinks they're impervious to consequences and doesn't think they have to apologize for anything. If you're bothered by him, it's because there's something wrong with you -- with your ability to take a joke, or have thick skin -- rather than anything ever being wrong with him. That's his default mode. But I suppose the general consensus of the forum will be to think the woman should have fought back with Incognito rather than going to her superiors or the police, perhaps by running him over with her car. I'm sure that's what Jeff Ireland would have advised.

Sort of amazing, isn't it? The number of people who have to be cheats or liars or money grubbing or dirty... just so Incognito can be a nice guy who's reformed and a great teammate? Eventually you'd think the sheer numbers would get to people, but somehow the excuses keep flowing.

Another aspect to this that's sort of floating by people's attention: the drunkenness. Incognito was apparently drunk when he was assaulting this woman. Small wonder that Clabo says Incognito was drunk when he left that message for Martin. Maybe poor little Richie has a problem with the bottle, too, on top of everything else.
