there is a strong rumor that this will happen! my question is how?

Yup, a few hours earlier that same board was claiming Woody was almost a done deal (I think).

I don't believe it. Woody won't sign until he talks to us. We're offering big cheese.

I find it amazing that they are under the cap. In two years, they will probably be 30 million dollars over, and if they aren't, then they are definitely not playing by the rules.
 
Question: didn't they determine a few years ago that the 49ers had violated salary cap parameters with some their early-mid 90s deals?

What did Tags do about it? As I recall, nothing (another reason I thing Tags is the biggest limp-wristed disgrace of a Commisioner).
