Worst/best moment in Fins draft history

Ted Ginn over Willis, Fletcher over Brees so dumb. Eddie ****ing Moore. Waste, Avery waste, cecil Collins.

What about Boldin. Did we have a shot at him? I thought we did.And blew it. Moss too.

Cecil Collins?...He was a 5th round roll of dice I had no problem with taking that chance...guy was a stud and we nearly found Marino the running back he never had.

I remember reading about Zach Thomas in Dolphins Digest draft issue and thinking hmmm, this might be a good player.

I sort of remember listening to Mad Dog in the time leading up to the 07 draft. A caller suggested Ted Ginn and MD said something not that high with the 9th pick.

I guess the best is Marino, the worst has too many to list. Allen comes to mind even though I thought he's defense, he's SEC maybe Saban knows what he's doing but that was a completely stupid pick. At least Ginn could make a big play every now and then. If he was 3rd round he probably would've even been liked by the fans. If Allen was 3rd round nobody would remember his name.

It's very hard for me to say Ted Ginn was the WORST pick, considering our other option would've been Brady Quinn.

Totally agree everyone saying we could have gotten Willis or Revis is fooling themselves. Ted Ginn wasn't a good pick, but compared to us drafting Quinn that automatically makes it not the worst pick...especially since he single-handedly beat the Jets in 2009 with two awesome kick returns and burned Revis for a TD in the first game that year.

Best Moment: watching the draft live I was excited when we took Tannehill, because I knew it was coming and it was great that it finally happened. I was also thrilled when we got Ronnie Brown, because the perception was it would be Braylon Edwards and was also happy that we passed on Brady Quinn, didn't care who we draft just was stoked it wasn't Quinn.

Worst Moment: two biggest ones for me was when we got Jamar Fletcher, i was pissed because Brees was still there. the other was Pat White, it was a ridiculous pick and knew it was a wasted pick the second his name was called. he would have been there in the fourth round but Parcells wasted a 2nd.

One of my best was when we drafted both Sammie Smith & Louis Oliver in the 1st round. I was really excited....well we know how that went with Smith. At least Oliver was solid.

best: marino

worst: fletcher (with Brees still there) not even a close second on this one.. what a shame.. freaking wannstadt

It's always hilarious when younger fans believe information wasn't available prior to cable television or the internet.

It always hilarious when old fans think sifting through a card catalog at the library is much more efficient than using google.

Not at the library but getting the Dolphin Digest and reading the entire thing :rolleyes2:

Marino has to be number one, particularly coming on the heels of David Woodley blowing Superbowl 17 with his pathetic performance, and I didn't expect Marino to be there that late in round one ...but I must admit after over a decade of this franchise ignoring the QB position for Journeyman and passing on Brees, Rogers, Ryan, and Kapernick who I wanted....it felt good when they drafted Tannehill finally.

The worst is too many to count....it starts with the multiple bad drafts of the 80's that kept Marino from a ring...I hated Daryl Gardener over Ray Lewis...Missing out on Moss to trade down for Avery....but I was really pissed with the Fletcher pick over Drew Brees. Hated the Ronnie Brown pick from day one as I was a huge Aaron Rogers fan....

Worst: Eddie freakin Moore. A late round pick taken in the 2nd round

John Avery, I could not and still cannot believe we used a first round draft pick on a kick/punt returner. Look at who was drafted behind him in the second round and it was definitely a big miss!!

I thought Brady Quinn was passed on for Ted Ginn.

The drafting of Sam Maddison was the best for me. The worst...the 1st 2 picks from 2009. Davis & White. No No No No No.
