Worst Ireland move as GM?

Drafting Pat White at 44 was terrible. Not renegotiating with Will Allen and keeping Benny Sapp was awful. Relying on Jonathan Martin apparently against the advice of our coaching staff tanked our 2013 season catastrophic. I think trading Brandon Marshall for two 3rds and using those picks to draft Michael Egnew, BJ Cunningham, Will Davis, and Dion Sims was the biggest failure though. Although the jury is still out on Sims and Davis neither have had much of an impact this season.

Pat White is on Parcells

Signing Mike Wallace for mega huge $'s was the worst, not because Wallace is not talented, but because he was the wrong WR to match with Mr. Awful Deep Ball Ryan Tannehill.

Everyone loves to blame Ireland for the job he did drafting...I can't remember a good draft class in the last 10 years. I know there have been good draft picks, but what has any GM done for this team in the past 10 years? It may have more to do with upper management in general.

IMHO Ireland's worst move might turn out to be Tannehill. Not that RT is a bad QB, I like him. But you could have had Luke Keuchley and taken Russell Wilson (instead of Vernon) or Nick Foles (instead of Egnew) later. I'm discounting Martin and what he's become because you can't predict a meltdown by a dude, and universally it was considered a solid pick.

I haven't looked in this thread but BY FAR the worst move was trading away a top 5 WR for what turned out to be Dion Sims and Michael Egnew, a couple of "who?" players. You will never see top flight organizations pulling moves like that.

Again, top 5 WR - 2 backup TE's
