im sorry but sanchez sucks dude.he has a weak arm and he isnt accurate at all.my outlook on qbs is if u have a weak arm u better be accurate and he isnt.
we'll just have to disagree on a few of those...

Hell, the Jets aren't Superbowl contenders with Sanchez, why would you expect the Dolphins to be?
What do you consider a SB contender? They're the only team to play in the Championship game of either conference the last 2 years..I mean what is your definition of 'contender'?

' The phins and Jets are similarly structured teams. Strong defenses. Power running offenses. Granted the Jets have a better te'

You forgot, that as of last season a far better O'line & more accomplished OC, but still they had similar QBR (in fact Henne edged marginally). How is this defending your argument????????
Keep blaming Henning all you want. And yes he did put shackles on Henne. Which he did for a good reason. Cause Henne is garbage. And guess what so would Rex and Brian Schotty. Funny that Henning had no issues letting Penny noodle it around. They let Sanchez make throws at big moments, cause Sanchez has proven he can make big throws. And yes the Jets do have a better o-line. So what. That does not make Henne underthrow wideopen recievers. Or gun it straight into triple coverage on Fasano, after eye****ing him from snap to throw. Sanchez is wayyyy better than Henne. Thats how that is my arguement.

IMO regretfully there is a difference between the two.

We're comparing 3A with 3C.... by comparison both the jest AND Fins stand a better chance of reaching the Promised Land with Ryan Fitz under center :idk:

Sanchez is better than Henne, but not by enough to make the Dolphins a SB contender.

Would the Dolphins be a Super Bowl contender with Mark Sanchez as the QB?

No.. Henne surpisingly had a better qb rating than Sanchez last season, but the Sanchez has a championship caliber defense that bails his butt out ALL THE TIME and covers some of his young mistakes. Whereas Henne has a solid defense, its not as good as the Jets' defense and his mistakes are more magnified and more and more blame is put on Henne. Grant it, Henne does deserve blame as the reason theyve lost games over the years

Seriously.

LOL @ Anyone who said no.

Are you dudes serious?

Let JCane break it down for you...

All of you dudes claim the Jets suck and say that we're a better team than the Jets. And I don't exactly disagree with that statement. I think if you subtract the QB from each team, the Dolphins and Jets have very similar talent at each position. But the Jets ARE contending for Super Bowls by going to back-to-back AFC title games.

So if we look at what is so different about the Jets, it's obviously the QB position and the head coach...ironically, the two people Dolphin fans hate the most and refuse to admit that the Jets ARE indeed superior at these spots...which explains why they have success in the playoffs...while we watch at home.

If you said no to the question...you're just a hater and refuse to admit the truth to yourself. But deep down inside...you know the right answer here.

I agree with you a lot but what you said is just not true. They had a much better Oline, a better TE, better running game, and better coaching. Yes there are some haters that would not admit things even if they were true but there are many including myself that just dont think Sanchez is very good. Is he better than Henne...most likely but I'm not sure. Is he really good...NO...and thats my honest opinion

With the FO in Miami currently, I am not sure anything short of P manning or Tom Brady would make the Dolphins SB contenders. Good young talent in the secondary and Cameron friggin Wake... Sign Edwards or Cullen Jenks as soon as FA opens and defense is basically ballin right away. Turn the attention to WR, pick up Rice. Move to TE, and make a deal for Z Miller. Look for some help at RB, maybe take a run at Gore who has 2 or 3 more solid years in him and now you have surrounded Henne with solid talent at every position. henne is not the long term answer. Right there you have a playoff caliber team and you can address the Oline next year in the draft and through FA. You aren't switching out QB's this year, so the oline can wait 1 more. Can't have a new franchise guy getting creamed with question marks at guard. Now the Dolphins and jets are fighting over who beats NE worse and who goes into the playoffs as a wild card, and who goes in as a division winner.

The Miami FO would never do something that risky.

Wasn't going to repond to this thread until you mentioned the difference in the 2 teams. Our defense might be good, and decent in yardage but if we are overlooking something its our scoring defense. The Jets D is top 3 easily in this league, we are probably top 10, hopefully better this season. Forget the 6th in yardage. The Jets D is the Jets, and the play making receivers. We need another opposite marshall, oh and an atheletic TE would help.

I promise you...if you take Rex Ryan and let him coach this team the way he's coached the Jets...he's taking us just as far as he has taken the Jets. CRUSHED me when they hired him because I knew what a great coach he was. He might be fat, and he might like feet, but there's nothing you can say about him football wise that is negative. This dude knows how to coach and he should have been the guy we hired several years ago.

The Jets D is what it is because of Rex Ryan. If you take Rex Ryan and give him our defense, he's taking it and coaching it to one of the top three in the league just like he has done in New York. Rex Ryan is THAT good.
