Would you consider trading for Blackmon?

I can't see Joe Philbin rushing to get a guy who has a reputation of being a problem. There are some teams like Cincinatti and Seattle, that are prepared to take a risk with guys who have problems, but I have seen nothing to suggest that Miami would.

I have heard some talk about the Jags maybe interested in moving him and wonder if he he be a worth while add. I have to say I think I would take the risk. His problems are substance related and has nothing like a violent criminal past that I know of. He is a WR that has elite skills and is young and could spend many years in Miami if he cleaned up his act. I also think we could get him for pennies on the dollar for his skills. I would go as far as a second next year and maybe a conditional later round draft a year or two down the road.

No. Guy is too troubled for my liking. It'd be one thing if he was an All-Pro.

We don't need David Boston 2.0

He's another screw up away from a year long suspension. Not a good place to be in Miami.

for a 5th rounder....

:hitit:

but that's about it. kid has issues.

Nope. He is a dope. I like our receiver corps.

I would accept an easy exchange: Jags's problem for Phins' trouble.

Jonathan Martin for Justin Blackmon.

Ask Ricky Williams to help his old team and rehab this nutty head.

Funny you mention that but I hear Ricky in interviews quite often, he is now a RB's coach at a smaller university and I guarantee you he would have no problem doing it.

BTW Blackmon wouldn't sit behind anyone of our guys in a lineup, he is a legit all around, going up and getting the ball, WR1. So what we have IMO really doesn't matter.

We're set at WR, but for a 5th rounder maybe. He's too good to pass up on him for that kind of value. Anything higher... no way.

I would absolutely consider trading for Justin Blackmon. He isn't a fantastic player, but he's a big, strong guy who can go up and get the football and produce yards after the catch. He's a very good talent.

4th or 5th round pick? No brainer. You aren't going to find anyone in those rounds with his talent who doesn't have even worse off the field issues.

Those contracts matter.

Bryant McKinney ring a bell?

If you guys dont want him, fine I get it. I think he could be worth the risk, if it was a 4th rounded then no question but I can see why you wouldnt want to risk it.

However the people who are saying WR is the least of our concerns and doesnt need an upgrade....? We desperatley need a big time play making WR. I love Wallace for what he brings, but hes not the guy you can just throw it up to and know ur gonna get a catch. We need that guy badly.

Our WRs last year were atrocious. This year there passable. I want greatness ala the Broncos.

I agree. I still say I would consider up to a second. I have never been a person to care that much for worrying about elite WR's but a few things have changed over the last few years. First the league has developed into so much a passing league you need every piece you can gather to take advantage of it. Second, we have a pass first core to our team and we should build on that. I also can't help but looking over all the poor draft picks throughout the years and saying what does it matter weighing a guy that might have issues like Blackmon against a guy that given the Dolphins drafting track record, at best, will be a average NFL talent.

Our WR's are good I agree but they aren't in the mold of the elites in the league. Matter of fact they are more in the mold of the seconds to the elites in the league.
