Would you consider trading for Blackmon?

I would accept an easy exchange: Jags's problem for Phins' trouble.

Jonathan Martin for Justin Blackmon.

Ask Ricky Williams to help his old team and rehab this nutty head.

Martin for Blackmon. Not only the best idea but also the only one I would entertain.

I agree. I still say I would consider up to a second. I have never been a person to care that much for worrying about elite WR's but a few things have changed over the last few years. First the league has developed into so much a passing league you need every piece you can gather to take advantage of it. Second, we have a pass first core to our team and we should build on that. I also can't help but looking over all the poor draft picks throughout the years and saying what does it matter weighing a guy that might have issues like Blackmon against a guy that given the Dolphins drafting track record, at best, will be a average NFL talent.

Our WR's are good I agree but they aren't in the mold of the elites in the league. Matter of fact they are more in the mold of the seconds to the elites in the league.

In general I agree with this statement. However, elite WRs are no guarantees. Josh Gordon just had the best 4-game-stretch of any WR ever, yet his Browns are 0-4 in that span.

If he is struggling with substance abuse in Jacksonville...Miami will finish him off.
For his own good he needs to be sent to less of a drug zone...

Honestly I didn't read this, just have to say hell no. Blackmon has talent, ya, but he is a garbage human being. NFL is a professional sport and he just doesn't understand how to make it work.

You know those stories of NFL plays broke and arrested a couple years after the NFL - that'll be Justin Blackmon. Well, unless he does a huge 180, but who really thinks that'll happen.

I wouldnt give up more than a 5th...he is bound to screw up again. What a waste of talent, this kid is Josh Gordon good, and with a garbage QB he was putting up monster numbers...maybe a change of scenery would help, but i doubt it. I could see us packaging MJD and Blackmon for a 3rd and maybe a player like J. Martin haha

Guy is an idiot. Gibson > Blackmon

Gibson is not better then Blackmon. Blackmon is very skilled and talented. Has off the field issues which are holding him back. In the 4 games he played this year, he was averaging over 100 ypg.

Is he a garbage human being? What has he done? As far as I know, he has a substance abuse problem. That doesn't make him a garbage person, IMO.

Lol Jacksonville wouldn't accept this in your dreams. Jmartin isn't going to get us squat. 5th rounder at best

Dolphin fans get real. Justin Blackmon is a stud. Of course it would be awesome to go get him. All you people complaining about off the field issues, you're telling me you wouldn't trade our first right now for Josh Gordon? These guys are beasts.

If we wanted prototypical wr1 ability i.e Big man with speed that can burn but also out muscle you in the short and intermediate areas, Justin Blackmon would be a great acquisition.

But we've already invested too much in the wr position, I would be shocked if we spent anything at all there this summer, unfortunately because both Wallace and Hartline are overrated and overpaid.

Lets not act as if smoking weed is something that cant be corrected. If he wants to miss out on millions and millions of dollars because he wants to smoke weed, then he is an idiot. Maybe he needs a fresh start and a better coaching staff and team around him.

For a 4th rounder this is a no brainer. Blackmon is very talented and is a legit #1 on most teams.. including ours.

Having Blackmon would free up a ton of space for Wallace and vice versa. Hartline would be one of the best #3 WR in the league and having Gibson and Matthews round out our Core is a crazy amount of talent for our WR bunch. Then add Clay and hopefully maybe one of our other TE's step up and Tannehill would have weapons galore.

To me... If you can go out and get a talent like Blackmon at that price, you go and do it. Just like we should have inquired about Josh Gordan early on this year.

It's such a shame that the NFL has the ignorant MJ-prohibition stance that they do. It's racist, quite frankly. Alcoholism does thousands of percent more damage to society yet NFL players can get drunk as hell all they want so long as they don't drive or beat their women. Show me a guy who plays well on Sunday, gets to practice everyday, and stays out of trouble, and I don't care what the hell else he does. The NFL is joined at the hip with the corporatocracy that rules our world and the corporatocracy has huge financial incentive to push MJ prohibition, from Big Pharma to the prison-industrial complex (and law-enforcement and gun sales industries) to the alcohol manufacturers and distributors themselves. MJ prohibitions is fascism in a nutshell.

So, with that said. The rules are what they are and Blackmon ('Da man keepin' the Blackmon down') could likely get himself permanently banned. If he didn't have the discipline to abstain the last time, after already missing 4 games, then I don't see him having the ability to abstain in the future.
I'd love that talent though. It's Josh Gordon/Brandon Marshall level talent. If he's there, you grab him...but not with that weed situation lingering like that. Can't do it. Another team can do it and everything would work out. You just know, though, that if the Dolphins tried it, it would immediately backfire. He'll wind up being the next Randy Moss for the last 2 years of Brady's career.

No way, he is a m0r0n. He has gotten into trouble since before he was drafted non-stop.

At this point I want to see them just draft WR's and have Philbin & Sherman develop the guys that they draft.

Hopefully Gibson comes back next year and does as well or better. Matthews has played well. They need to focus on drafting their players

and having them come up through their system

WR is not a need at all. Gibby will be back next year, I love how Rishard is emerging for once we don't need WR's since Duper/Clayton maybe even McDuffie who was awesome but by himself. Hartline is a top 10 WR he is going for his 2nd 1000 yard season and Wallace alone makes opposing defenses pause even if he doesn't put up the stats. The trade/cap resources should be focused elsewhere

Hartline is sooooo overrated by Dolphins fans. Any decent #2 should explode with Wallace on the other side of the field. Hartline can't separate, he has great hands, but he can't separate, no YAC, hes average. Way overpaid.
