If we do not finish last in the NFL like some of us want to. Let's say we have the 8th pick.

if luck is the prospect everyone seems to say he is, yes. go for it. if not, keep long and draft landry jones or rg3 or another qb.
 
If you want Luck to be in the dirt the whole game, go ahead. Not even Brady could be successful behind this o-line if you trade away Jakey.
 
Yes I would. We have seen what having an elite LT does for us.

True and it could backfire big time. However I believe that it is easier to put together a decent line than it is to find a franchise QB.

He's sitting for a year while Moore and whoever are running for their lives. I'll pick up a LT in the next draft 'cus chances are we're drafting in the top 10 again.
 
Yes. This debate has been done. What we found out was that anyone who argued the case, "you won't have anyone to protect him" flat out failed. If you don't have the QB...it doesn't matter whether he is protected or not...you will still suck!

You can find OLinemen, not so easy with franchise QB's. Its a no-brainer to me, trade Long and our 1st and get Luck in here.
