Those of you who are scared to put him in -- what the heck did we draft him for? There will always be the chance that he is injured. Just like anyone. Maybe we should just have him smile on the sidelines? He has a nice smile. Maybe he could smile us into the playoffs?

Not for the pre-season and not to rush him into action.

There is no need to rush this. A little patience is all that is needed.

I will answer as a true fan.

Yes if he goes in and do well

no if he goes in and gets hurt.

Well we've got 3 preseason games left. He needs to play this one. I don't know why the Herald is getting so concerned about him getting injured. It's not like he's out of shape (definitely no more so than Manuel Wright). I mean, if he gets injured it's a freak thing, I don't see how it could be related much to him not being in camp all month. He has been working out regularly.

So give him two series against Pitt. 4 runs, a couple passes and some blocking, so he can get a real feel for the speed of the game. Then next week let him go twice as long. The last game I feel he should go for at least a half to get ready to be the full-time starter come reg season.

My kneejerk reaction is "hell no!" But Ricky won't be there for the first 4, and if this is a guy your counting on running 15-20 times, catching 4-5 passes a game. He kind of needs the work now. Like everyone says, 4-5 carries, couple of passes that's it. In actuality, this is the perfect game to showcase guys for trade bait.

yes. for 2 series he'll get a feel for the speed of NFL football. give him 4 touches total, and he'll be good. we can't be afraid he's going to get injured on 4 touches.
