if we were to go with 6-10 or 7-9 with tannehill and he looked good were losing close (like cam did with the panthers) i think i would be ok with it. but i wouldnt be upset at all if moore lead us to a winning season.

Since I can't convince myself that a "winning" season with Moore would be better than a 9-7 record, why not give Tannehill half the season (or more) to start, learn, and develop? The future of this team is tied to Ryan, so decisions should made with the idea of helping him progress and prepare to lead this team. I can live with yet another losing season if it means preparing the kid to lead this team for the next decade or so. Get the painful rookie season out of the way, then we can hopefully have a period of winning seasons.

The Dolphins defense went from 22nd in YPG in 2009, to top 10 in YPG in 2010, and 15th in 2011. The Bengals had a more talented team and played a really easy schedule. The 49ers had a loaded defense and Harbaugh is a great coach.
Yeah a elite QB can make it work with mediocre WRs, but I don't see the Dolphins elite QB. So I don't get the Tom Brady comparison since you don't have him on the Dolphins. The Jets WRs were mediocre last season, it was one of their issues. I expect Holmes will be much better, hes easily a better WR than what the Dolphins have, last season there were some issues but it seems like they have been working them out as Mark and Holmes have hung out a lot and both are at the facilities for the offseason programs. Cowher thinks Holmes is ready to move on and will bounce back this year. Burress was worthless outside of the redzone. Kerley is not the Jets #2 WR, Stephen Hill will start. And you knock on him but hes way more talented than any WR the Dolphins have, 6'4 runs a 4.30. Should open things up downfield.

Way to make stuff up saying that Greene is injury prone and Bush isn't, last I checked Greene played all 16 games last season and the season before (sat out the last game when the Jets were resting starters in 2010). Reggie Bush hasn't played a full season since his rookie season.

The Jets had a better overall team in 2009 than the Dolphins have, they had the #1 rushing attack and #1 defense. And a lot of people were down on the Jets going into last season, a lot of Jets fans. and lol at the 2 biggest liabilities, they will have a role in this defense and should be better than what we had last season.

First of all, I think you greatly overestimate the team's chances at a winning season, regardless of which QB starts (at least among those on the roster currently).

I think some over estimate this as a real fan's comments

Andy Dalton won the job, he did not have it given to him. He is also considered a young QB that is far smarter then his experience should make him.

IMO, Tannehill is at least a couple of years behind him in football knowledge.

My take might be a little different. I would prefer that either David Garrard or Matt Moore start the season, not because the team has a better chance to win, but so that Ryan Tannehill can sit and learn. If one of the veterans start, it also gives the team a chance to sort out the wide receivers and the offensive line without a rookie quarterback having to navigate through so many changes. That could spell disaster.
