Just heard Brian Baldinger speaking on the Finsiders and regarding Matt Flynn he said he believes Flynn has the potential to be, and reminds him of a Matt Hasselbeck when he came over to Seattle with Holmgren, and similarly when Schaub was traded to the Texans
both "nice" "solid" "good" QBs but not elite top flight QBs
I have never been a big fan of Schaub he has always been inconsistent and never has "big" games where you are just really wow'ed by him, who knows what could have been this season for him if he did not get injured, but just remember he had the best rushing attack in the NFL, an elite WR in Andre Johnson his whole time as the QB of the Texans, and this year had a top 5 defense to help
I have heard and read this similar opinion regarding Flynn as the potential to be a good QB, but the ceiling is limited
So would you feel comfortable investing big $ in a guy with the "potential" to be a Hasselbeck/Schaub esc QB?
