would you trade dion jordan for the #3 pick this year?

how about taylor thomas and davis for their respective picks? i know it's pure hypothetical and you can't judge a class after just 1 season, but i'm not so sure i wouldn't give them all back for the same picks in this draft. woud we even have missed them in 2013?

How can we miss what we never had? Problem is as always we'd get in return picks in a lower round than the ones we used to get the players in the first place. But lets gives Ireland another 5 years and we'll be fine.

Ozzy rules!!

The key thing u would have to ask yourself is can I get a better player with the third pick in this draft than Jordan. The answer in my mind is a resounding yes although I didn't feel Jordan was anywhere near the third best player in last years draft

I think some of you are misinterpreting what saying "yes" means for many of us.

My "yes" isn't a knock on Dion Jordan. Yes, there's tremendous potential there. But he's a #3 pick sitting on the bench for most of the game and while he's there, he has no impact. Jordan was a luxury pick at a position in which we were already strong. IMO, it was a bad decision by Ireland to ignore our needs just to go after a guy who gives him a woody. If I'm trading up for a #3 pick, I want someone that's going to start ...and impact the game. If I could trade Jordan for a great cover corner (which we need) or a great left tackle (which we need) or a great run-stopping ILB, yeah, I do it in a heartbeat.

Joe - I am foreign and not raised in the US. What was the show? I never saw it.

The Litttle Rascals. Also known as Our Gang
Made in the 1930s they are classics. A bunch of young poor kids getting into never ending mischief and adventures. Used to watch it when I got home from school. You can rent the discs, I think you will appreciate them and the authenticity of it.

this is really what got me thinking if we didnt have jordan and had the 3rd pick this year. jordan was considered the top defensive prospect by many, but i think it was a weaker class. if he were there this year he's not going ahead of clowney and there are a few more offensive players that i would have taken ahead of him. i would also say that what we gave up to move up will not get a team to #3 overall this year, which again speaks to the strength of the class. no matter what anyone says this pick is by no means the homerun some thought on draft day. would be nice to get lucky just once and have a guy come in and be a bad ass from the first snap and not have all these projects and developmental guys.

this is another good point. DL was considered a position of strength, and not only that but we moved up to get him. the only reason you do that is because you think he's such a bad ass he's a defensive mvp type player. im not saying if he's not that as a rookie it's a fail, but damn he looks more like a tweener project playing in the wrong scheme (4-3 DE instead of 3-4 OLB) than a cant miss pick you absolutely had to trade up to get.

I don't think any team would take Jordan over Anthony Barr OLB and I know Clowney would always go over him.

Yes and here's why.

1. You'd get either Matthews or Barr.
2. You'd still have the 19 to take Mosely, Lewan, Ebron, or Amaro.

That's enough for me.

The better question is would you trade him for Ziggy Ansah, Sheldon Richardson, Star Lotuleli, Kenny Vaccaro or Barkevious Mingo?

In all fairness Coyle is a moron for not playing him enough. I think Jordan will be a good player. He was more of a luxury pick than a need and we arent in the business of drafting for luxury yet. If Jordan had a good coaching staff who played him he would have gotten his opportunities. Id put money that Jordan would have made a better LB than Wheeler.

The REAL question here is...

WHO WOULD BE STUPID ENOUGH TO RELINQUISH AN OVERALL #3 PICK FOR him?

No one I know except for jeff ireland would make that trade.
