Would you Trade?

thi strade will make even better sense in two weeks (IF) hartline cant get back and our recievers show no progress in this system. i say joe calls in a favor to his old team and gets it done. IMO the Pack likes nelson better then jones anyway...so it can be a win win low risk move.

I believe Jones becomes a Free Agent if cut.

he could possibly start with oak, sea, ari, cle, rams,

Oak: not over Palmer
Sea: not over Flynn or Jackson, the latter of which is at least his equal
Ari: not over Kolb (more of a money issue than talent)
Cle: not over Weeden
Rams: definitely not over Bradford, though it may be his best shot considering Bradford is made of glass

Matt Moore would very likely start over Flynn.

That means absolutely nothing though

Why is Seattle even being mentioned in the first place? A 3 QB race between Jackson/Flynn/Wilson is going on there ..... not a chance they even sniff around Moore. San Diego is the likely destination if he were to be traded.

Why would Green Bay want Matt Moore??? I know they need a back up QB, but I get the feeling they will think, if Moore is not good enough for Philbin, then he's not good enough for Green Bay (similar system).

I'd do it, but would they? Why do they need Matt Moore? Even after losing Flynn.

If he was waived, I'd definitely look into him, the Dolphins should have a low enough waiver claim to have a shot.

This trade makes sence because both players could be cut and Green Bay needs a backup with NFL starting experience and Miami could use a WR. If each player is cut they can sign with any team. I don't know how long a player has to play not to go on the waver wire? I don't think we would have a shot at Jones if he is cut. We would pick 8th in waver order. Jones has 6 years NFL experience and Moore has 6 years. Also if we cut Moore we may have some cap hit or some dead money. If we trade him we wan't suffer any cap issues.

Every single person on this message board should say yes to this Madden trade.
This. In reality Miami might get a 6th rounder for Matt Moore and, in a sense, recoup that pick lost to SF in the Lamar Miller trade up.

Based on what? Why on earth would they want a 4th backup QB to "compete" for the starting job?

I use quotes because it's pretty obvious there is no QB competition there. It's all Flynn's.

Actually the trade makes absolutely ZERO sense given that we're running a similar offense. If Moore is not cut-out for the WCO we're running then what makes you think GB would want to sniff around him?

Logic.

Matt Moore is serviceable remember.... I think that means a lot. He is fighting for a starting job and losing out. Not to mention we have a kid who could be closer than most think.
Doubt GB cuts Jones. I'd move Moore today if that were the case.

KC would be a great trade partner...Cassel blows, even when healthy (which is rare)...

MOORE, unfortunately for us, is in the driver's seat. He was the 12th rated QB in the NFL last year, despite being on a for-s*** team. He will be a F/A at the end of this season, and unless he starts here, he'll go elsewhere on HIS say-so, and MIAMI will get Zippo. That's how it is, whether some of the MADDEN-FANTASY dreamers on this site like it or not.

MIAMI doesn't have much leverage to trade ANY QB not named TANNEHILL. After all, GARRARD has back issues at 34, and DEVLIN is absurd: an extra arm in camp. And for the reasons above, MOORE won't be traded unless HE AGREES to be traded.

Stop mentally playing w/yourselves, Dolfans. This is the real world, and not "MADDEN" or "FANTASY FOOTBALL". There's no likelihood at all that MOORE gets any interest as a 1 Year "rent-a-QB". Because he's going to be a F/A and F/A's going to be a big payday for him, because too many knowledgable "football people" saw him play last season and do very well despite an unready HC and the COLUMBO-CAREY fiasco.
