Im not a big fan of the FL Today...maybe its just me, but I miss the Sun-Sentinel (and will buy a Herald whenever I can).

what happened to the Sun-Sentinel?

I know you are all going to flame me but who said its going to work. Who said being in the top 10 and predictable isn't a good thing when we could end up 32nd and no one knows what the next package will provide. There is no guarantee that Saban's defense will work.

While I am as excited about a new set of D packages and formations, I am waiting to see the results on the field. Cause everyones schemes look good on paper. I hope we break through that barrier of bending and breaking at the end of games. I'd rather be 20th and know my guys are there at the end of the game then top 10 and break when it really counts. <-- its an exageration but you should get the point. All tis stuff we're doing in the offseason is for NIL if it doesn't convert into W's during the regular season. Thats not to say we can't get excited, but more of a warning that just because there is a change or addition or subtraction for that matter doesn't mean that it will result in a positive outcome on the field. Just my two cents

Now back to your regulary scheduled program :)

It work back in 93' with less talent..It's going to work here in Miami with better talent. It's a proven system.

Man I can't wait to see our new defense. We have been way to predictable on D especially when it comes to blitzing...now Brady and Pennington won't know where the pressure is coming from which should lead to more sacks and hopefully more turnovers. Zach shouldn't have to make 150+ tackles ever year and this should balance things out better which should mean less wear and tear on Zach and JT. :)

That really didn't get me too pumped. Every time we tried playing zone the last couple of years we got beat. It wasn't a good scheme at the time. The players we have on our roster aren't suited for that type of a defensive scheme. I'll be more pumped next off season after Saban has had to FA's and two drafts to build his defense. With that said, I really can't wait to see how we do this year defensively, though I'm not sure pumped is the right word.... I think I'm more pumped about our offense. I can't wait to see Ronnie run, a more open passing attack, and a Feeley that doesn't have to carry the team on his shoulders. I think it'll be a good offense this year...

Could be cause we still would only rush 4. That just gives the other team time to read the zone. Send more, send them from different places. The zone blitz is nasty, ask Pittsburgh.

i am sooooooo excited but more so for JT because i think he will have ore opertunity to get in and make a sack or break up the play

I cant wait until JT stands up in a 3-4, blitzes, and ends up with a RB trying to block him!!

I'm not going to flame you, at all. I feel the same way, but I'm cautiously optimisitic. I believe his "scheme" will work, it's whether we have the players to execute it that is my question. I'm cautiously optimistic. Let's put it that way.

^ ZT: "It's all talk now. We'll see how it works out. Hopefully, it works well."

:yeahthat:

I'll admit though, the article has me grinning from ear to ear.

Damn......great article, I really wish they were on Prime Time this year, watching that D cause turnovers and smacking the QB around. I live in Pa, so I dont get to see them much, I really like the article, and am pumped to watch this D, and O in 05'.

I love the fact our defense will not be predictable this year. During the exhibition games, all you heard about were teams "Vanilla" offense and defense. I did not see a big change for our team during the regular season. Thank god a new era is being ushered in.
