Wow!!

No it doesn't count, but its very disheartening to see that there is basically no improvement on this team.... very little to get excited about.

Basically no improvement over last year?? And you have decided this all over one pre season game. Thank god I never read any of your other two thousand posts if they were all this good. If we had lit up the bears last night...you would be saying..."Yeah...our team is wonderful" as you tip toed through the tulips.

Who said anything about being doomed? Can you honestly say that you were impressed with our performance last nght? You can be as optimistic as you want.... I'll be realistic instead. We didn't play well on an individual basis! Especially in areas we knew need to improve!

There were several good individual performances. Boston, Frerotte, Morris, and this Diamond guy.

My advice to you is to lighten up, you'll never make it through the season

Big deal, it was preseason game pre-#1. When EVERY pundit & casual fan is selling, its usually a good time to buy.

AHHHHHHHH the sky is falling. Our DBs and OL are awful, cut everyone, sign every other teams cuts.

Hank Goldberg said 'how many of you wish Fiedler Flakes was back'? I freggin can't stand Stank Goldberg, and now I know why. What a horrible, negative, drunk morning host.

Actually it semed as though the game plan was to test a few guys, did you notice how they went at Donald Lee like 4of6 plays, the same with the run, It looked like the game plan was to see how the guys reacted in a game situation. To me this game was more about who they are going to cut/keep then gameplan.

i agree, to an extent......... one of the reasons Lee got thrown too so much was because he was the only player open. But was it that he is great at getting open or is the defense not concerned with covering him because they know he will drop the ball, that is the question.

had our OL not have been pushed back and opened SOME holes and had the secondary covered SOME wr's (some guys did make some nice plays but few and far between) I would have been much more positive this morning. True.

You fail to realize that we had no gameplan. Simply put, we weren't going to give teams an opportunity to have 6 weeks to study us on film. You know how secretive Saban is... he doesn't like to show his cards until he's ready to play them. On the other hand, the Bears seemed intent on winning, and I believe they gameplanned and executed like it was a real game. Al Michaels said "You don't blitz this much in the Hall of Fame game". Simply put, they went all out, and our newly formed still learning and non-gameplanned team got manhandled a bit at the beginning. Big deal.

If, however, they look the same game 1... you can say we're in for a long season.

THANK THE HEAVENS...SOMEONE WITH A BRAIN!! Your observation on the bears was very astute. Lovie Smith had a very different outlook for this game. He came out guns blazing. We didnt. We shouldnt have...and we didnt need to. Game one was to work on things. Some looked good..some didnt. Thats what preseason was for. One positive I noted is with all the blitzing the bears were doing...we were called for very few false starts with our 1st o line.

I agree on Boston and Diamond.... maybe Morris. I was not impressed by frerotte.

You guys are taking me all wrong. I am NOT predicting DOOM and GLOOM for the season. I have hope that we can play well. However, afterreading ALL the camp reports and listening to all the optimistic posts on here, I had higher expectations for individual performances! That's all Im saying.

Yes...last night we had trouble opening holes against the run. Our D backs got burned. But its the first game for christs sake. If we look much better Sat..are you then going to proclaim we will win the Super Bowl..because you seem to fly from one extreme to the other quite easily.

nooooooooooo... this game tells us everything, carey needs to be out of footbal... travis daniels really sucks, we were just being tricked in TC... feeley got sacked so hes got no pocket awareness... frerrotes lucky TD passes will lead us to the superbowl... and thompson needs to be cut

sounds like you got it all figured out

Well you should go ahead and get used to Frerotte b/c I guarantee he will be our starter and I would be surprised if it isn't announced before the end of next week

No I won't! Can I not say that I expected more from this team than they showed last night? Where do I go from one extreme to the other? Show me where I have said the season is lost already? Or said we will be 12-4, for that matter? You are the one that seems to making a judgement on me without really understanding where Im coming from!

I wouldn't doubt it.... Hank Goldberg (I know soe of you hate him) said something on the radio this morning that I found very telling.... he posed the question "Name one team in the NFL that ANY of our 3 QB's could START for right now?"...... that's tough to answer!

Yeah, that too - a very good point!
