WR Damian Williams visits Dolphins/signs one year deal

I like him coming out of college. Hopefully he can replace Thiggy on KR/PR.

Filed to ESPN: The #Dolphins signed free-agent WR Damian Williams to one-year, $800,000 contract, according to a source.

again, meh

Do our 5th-6th WRs all have to be Pro Bowlers to you or something UK?

the fact he is a 5th wr is all you need to know about the use of the word meh. I simply don't care, the signing doesn't even evoke a flicker of either interest or dislike. He may manage to win a roster spot in camp, maybe he wont. Wont make a difference to the season either way

I would guess no guaranteed money so it is a no-risk thing

Well you cared enough to say "meh" twice on the subject already.

Thanks for sharing you insight.

With all of the talented WRs in the Draft, it is interesting that we are still looking at experienced guys for the roster. One could interpret that they don't want to draft a WR.

it also means that we still need to sign like close to 30 players to get to 90, he is no lock to make the team so this should have no affect on draft plans at all,imo

I said meh on both updates because it summed up my views on this very meh'ish news. If theres a new forum rule about getting excited about every special teams addition then im afraid I missed it, as much as I liked Marlin Moore, his replacement isnt exactly a riveting topic for me

Hopefully he can bring something to the table here....Tennessee was a hot mess and things had to change their!

Will be a lot of WR competition this summer and our special teams is looking like it could even get faster. This is the 3rd WR signed now right? Most of us feel that if Binns is healthy he will be our #5 so all these FA WR's are fighting to take Binns spot or make the roster as a 6th WR to focus on ST's. Let's not forget with all our WR injuries last season our FO is looking for depth either for the game day roster or our practice squad.

I agree with UK, meh. If Binns is healthy then Williams won't make it out of camp...

I'm so afraid that our front office is thinking just like this, and we won't be looking to get a WR in this draft. Which IMO is just asinine, as this is the year to go after a WR with it being such a great draft class. Getting a top WR in this draft would be better then in any other draft in a long time. We need to be moving Hartline to 3rd or even 4th WR and get us some playmakers. Not other teams scrubs and hope someone shines later, and miss out. A turd is still a turd no matter how much you polish it.
