Write To The Nfl Now! Feedback, Phone Calls, Whatever You Can Do!

Sorry I prefer Saturday. I get to see the game ;) Also I will be without electricity soon after because I will be getting crushed by a hurricane. Think of the little people. :D

Most of you people are being absurd. Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, hurricane, no hurricane, live, tape delay...who the hell cares. Watch the game when you can, where you can, cheer for your team, drink lots of beer and have fun. May the better team win (which in this case will be the Black and Gold) Good luck Fish. You’ll need it. Maybe they’ll just call the game and you can post a tie. That’s the best you can hope for.

I'm pretty sure that the NFL and DTV have lawyers who have read the 1961 law and who have strong opinions about all of this that no fans are going to change.

If you're right about the law, it could actually be the contract between DTV and the NFL (or between the networks and the NFL) that gets in the way. I wouldn't be happy about DTV getting an exclusive game that belonged to me if I were CBS...

Even beyond that, how does DTV show an exclusive game? They don't have a staff or equipment to go it alone, and why would CBS help them out?
Directv never produces the broadcast of a game themselves. They simply pull the feed from other networks and put it on Directv. In this case and the Tennessee game CBS is airing it live and showing it to both teams local markets. Therefore it couldn't possibly be that hard for them to essentially tie into the CBS telecast like they always do but show it live on Saturday instead of Sunday. Especially considering people have paid for the right to see the game by ordering the Sunday ticket. Their excuse for this is so lame its pathetic.

Hi to you too buddy. Apparently you've never been through a hurricane. It's like those tornado's you get but about 100 times longer and intense flooding. Maybe you aren't aware that this will be the 4th 'cane to hit us in a month and a half. BTW Finheads...the new track for this storm has it staying west until it gets to the western bahamas and then taking a straight north turn. Landfall is supposed to be near Daytona Beach.

Yeah, I agree. We were talking about DTV having an exclusive game, though.

You're assuming that. I would guess this would be the case, but it wasn't a part of our discussion (at least from my understanding).

Therefore it couldn't possibly be that hard for them to essentially tie into the CBS telecast like they always do but show it live on Saturday instead of Sunday.

It may not be hard, but it may put them into a situation where they have breached their lucrative contract with the NFL and where they have possibily violated Federal law. Where is the reward to justify that risk?

Especially considering people have paid for the right to see the game by ordering the Sunday ticket. Their excuse for this is so lame its pathetic.

Remember when they told you they would show you up to 14 games? You should have paid better attention to that "up to". I think it quite likely that they are not breaching your contract with them. I understand that you don't like this reality, but you have to face up to it.

What do you know about dealing with hurricanes?? Or this many in a row?? Hell, you barely get rain in Phoenix, period. And I don't know about you, but we love watching LIVE football. What fun is watching a game for the first time when you already know what's going to happen??

And this isn't the thread to talk trash in, buddy.

Im sorry, but the game must be played...Saturday is the best day, and the only day i can see reasonable..
Bill Cowher said the league promised they would not have to play Saturday and if it gets postponed it will be Monday or Tuesday.
