PENTHOS:
of course he didnt. but what he did do is bring those no talent scrubs into the fold all the while ignoring skilled talent. there was a show on nfl network a few weeks back and the host said that teams like miami are living in the past. the pats are the model because instead of going out and stock piling o and d linemen, they build with talent at the SKILL POSITIONS and fill in with the supporting cast as the eagles and packers do it. its a new nfl, its a passing leauge and POINTS win championships, not 3 yds and a cloud of dust. the dolphins need to get on board with the new nfl........
and they are SOOOOO RIGHT!!!! every year we do the same thing, its the o-line's fault for all our ills and every year, same scenerio. were like a broken record. you put the eagles skill players with our o-line [which ever version] of last year and you think there a strength by years end!! tonys at fault for living in the past and concentrating on building some phantom dominating o-line year after yearthat never comes to fruition! and he isnt the o-line guru he was made out to be by bill p. so those two things combined are tonys fault.
ALL SILVER: cary a probowler? really? when? 4th alternate in some year? the guy has needed to be dealt for the last 3 years. he folds at the worst times, usually on a 3rd and critical his guy will come around and beat him to the qb or rb. cary was never any big time player. miami just seems to be HOARDERS, they refuse to chuck out the trash and treat a lot of mediocre playeres like future, untouchable hall of famers. our rosters have been plugged up with stale players for years costing us room for upgrades.
while i agree with you whole heartedly about this o-lines woes, cary was no big deal and shouldnt ever have "pro bowl" associated with his name.
