this guy comes in here is handed the # 1 pick in the entire draft takes a franchise LT already has a prowbowler in Carey a few promising players as well and wht does this ex OL coach do ,well he Fuks us hard and we r still trying to figure out just who will be are starters this year.now we take Pouncey in the first with Long n Carey and it would look like we have a good start to a great line.
for some reason i dont think we will b ok this year on the OL n our QB'S will get killed game in n game out.
who thinks we will have a top 10 OL and just wht players will be playing?:(:(:(

Don't worry...Sparano is an OL genius....right?....ugh

The musical chairs has got to stop too.

To answer yr question... He made it half decent then he ruined it.

Seriously? It's one week in to training camp. ONE WEEK...

Remember, two years ago the O-Line was really good. But last year, due in large part to injuries (at one point we were down to our 3rd string Center) combined with some questionable personel moves (Parcels....?), the O-Line took a big step backwards.

It's a new year:
* Pouncey is a Beast.
* Contrary to the rumors, Jake Long is not dead (he's the MVP of the o line and is being kept in a glass Jar until he's needed).
* At this stage in his career, Carey should be a better RG than he would be at RT.
* Incgonito at LG should be solid. Not pro-bowl, but solid.

Granted, we probably won't have a Pro Bowler at RT, but most teams don't. And just because a player isn't a pro-bowler doesn't mean he is a scrub. All we need is solid.

Right, Sparano went out and intentionally injured our starting center Joe Berger. Then he intentionally injured his backup, Proctor, just so he could shift Incognito to center and put MqQuistan at LG.

This is a very sore subject with many of us. 4 years and they still haven't got it right. It's a toss up for me whether or not this is the biggest issue I have with this regime.

How is it TS's fault that Carey is a lazy turd that won't put in the work now that he has his big contract. They took a shot with Grove and Smiley and they of course both get hurt. Jerry seems to be like Carey except he doesn't even have to wait for his big contract.

I dunno what he is doing.

We only had one of the best lines in the game in 08 and arguably 09. Sporano got lineman that would work and make the wildcat work.

Then injuries happened last year and all of a sudden he is horrible. You really want to complain about a guy who last year was using back up to backups, had a LT who was playing with only 1 arm for a while? I mean really?

To me I prefer to look at the 08 and 09 seasons when he went and got the right guys that made our line look great. No one was complaining about our line those 2 seasons, only about how Grove and Smiley went down.

I won't look and critiscize a coach who had to play 3rd stringers in 3/5 of the line and suddenly laugh at how horrible the guy is.

I think his fault is having one of the most expensive lines in the NFL and not getting one the best performances our of it!!!

And he was supposed to be an OL guru. However now that Garner is back I think he starts on the RT spot, he was looking very solid at OG before he got hurt, and he should be better than Columbo.

Long Pouncey Incognito Carey Garner/Jerry (This is the formation I like, until Pouncey learns the Center position)

PENTHOS:

of course he didnt. but what he did do is bring those no talent scrubs into the fold all the while ignoring skilled talent. there was a show on nfl network a few weeks back and the host said that teams like miami are living in the past. the pats are the model because instead of going out and stock piling o and d linemen, they build with talent at the SKILL POSITIONS and fill in with the supporting cast as the eagles and packers do it. its a new nfl, its a passing leauge and POINTS win championships, not 3 yds and a cloud of dust. the dolphins need to get on board with the new nfl........

and they are SOOOOO RIGHT!!!! every year we do the same thing, its the o-line's fault for all our ills and every year, same scenerio. were like a broken record. you put the eagles skill players with our o-line [which ever version] of last year and you think there a strength by years end!! tonys at fault for living in the past and concentrating on building some phantom dominating o-line year after yearthat never comes to fruition! and he isnt the o-line guru he was made out to be by bill p. so those two things combined are tonys fault.

ALL SILVER: cary a probowler? really? when? 4th alternate in some year? the guy has needed to be dealt for the last 3 years. he folds at the worst times, usually on a 3rd and critical his guy will come around and beat him to the qb or rb. cary was never any big time player. miami just seems to be HOARDERS, they refuse to chuck out the trash and treat a lot of mediocre playeres like future, untouchable hall of famers. our rosters have been plugged up with stale players for years costing us room for upgrades.

while i agree with you whole heartedly about this o-lines woes, cary was no big deal and shouldnt ever have "pro bowl" associated with his name.

On 2008 we were not that good at OL, and the reason the Wild Cat was brought in is that we had very poor production on rushing plays that year.

Again, just because Carey isn't a pro-bowl RG doesn't mean he is a scrub. I suspect he will be MORE than solid at RG.

While the O-Line was never stellar last season, it wasn't horrible at the beginning of the season. But as the injuries mounted and the backups came in, the quality of O-Line play decreased, shocker! And don't forget, we lost 3 games almost exclusively due to poor special teams play.

The year before last, our O-Line was good. It was our Defense that cost us the most, hence the DC replacement.

08 Was the year we used the wildcat correct? Penny's year?

WOW.. has the 2011 edition shown anything yet to dump all over it with the "same ole BS" tag?

Way too premature. We even haven't played a preseason game yet. The lads have been in camp one week. One practice with the new additions.

We've got a new OC and offensive playbook.

I think some people who wake up to instant coffee, eating instant oatmeal, eating lunch a Mcdonalds expect everything in life to come easy and without toil.

While I will argue the FO and the lack of effectiveness of the draft and FA.. I will wait until they play a regular season game before getting bent out of shape.
