Its the quality of the opponent that is the difference. Last season was an opening win against the Browns. Were it not for the 1st half turnovers, this would have been a comfortable win. Pats defense is over rated. Phins look to have the more talented team.
Future looks bright for the young LB's
 
I've got picks and money. How did that work out for us. The Wallace connection felt like wasted downs a lot of the time. Ellerbe and Wheeler go out and we don't skip a beat. Jordan suspended. And I didn't see Jamar Taylor in the game. Our first 3 draft picks and $100 million in contracts: :tubes:

I've been screaming from the rooftops that personnel has been the issue all along. And if you have an issue with poor personnel then its almost impossible to make a fair evaluation of everything else that depends on decent personnel.
 
I didn't think for a minute the phins would win this game. I am so happy I was dead wrong. I am so surprised and happy with the offensive line and Moreno. What a job. What a difference a running game makes, and what a difference leading by example makes. The commentators noticed it too, the team picked up from Moreno's example and started playing hard.

There is nothing better than watching your favorite team have players who play hard and give it their all.
 
I can't stop smiling. That D looked REALLLLL in the 2nd half and that O will be sick come November. Lovin it.

Wallace had himself a good game. He was going against Revis most of the game and was solid.

A few passes better thorwn and he has 100 yards and possibly 2 tds

IMO the blame today between the two is closer to 50/50.

But let's talk about Brian Hartline for a moment. He had wide open space in front of him and tripped over grass, again.
 
The playcalling was superb. The perfect balance of sticking to the run and mixing in the odd pass.

great win, much better than 3 years ago when the pats spanked our buts on opening night in miami, with brady throwing for over 500 yds, unfortunately i was there that night.

running game looked awesome, cant remember seeing so many big runs consistently from our run game since days of ricky.

wallace looked good, and he looked like he was playing with a purpose, like he wants to be involved this year. like the fire from him.

no complaints really today.

defense was amazing, for the most part shutting down gronk ( i know he had the td but all in all, wasnt the gronk we are used to seeing vs us) offensive line played well, all in all awesome day.

people, dont sleep on the bills next week, its there home opener, coming off an impressive win in chicago, rowdy crowd, very solid defense, they got a decent team, and considering we lost to them 2x last year with thad lewis starting, i would hope that the fins remember those 2 games last year and go out for revenge.

at least i dont think we can play as bad as we did in buffalo last time

Those first downs are so huge though. Hartline should play between the 20's then give him some "breaks" when we're in the redzone.
