Wow. Run on OL big time.

Hickey drops down and he misses out on James, imo.

OL is just so much more important in today's game. Especially increasing value of RT.

Hickey got his man. Chances are he wouldn't have if he dropped. Kudos.

Something that many of us talked about for weeks…the possible run on quality linemen AFTER pick 19.

I think Dennis was right to take his RT when he did. Could your critique that he might not have bailed down to the Saints spot for a 3? Sure. However, I am not going to kill him for that.

I think the FO was wise for what they did. People need to let the next three picks shake out.

Probably unlikely, but can you imagine if we had dropped down, and lost out on james... than xsf and bitonio gone early 2nd...

Some guys are just ****in greedy

Too many people overreact to things they "think" they know. Until the season is at least 1/2 way over, you can't judge a book by its cover.

Kouandjio is still there. And James was graded out lower than all of them. Not saying he will not turn out to be the better player, I'm just saying that assuming things is not wise.

Kouandjio, Moses and Mewhort all still there... Horrible decision to not trade down and still get your guy... Idc how you try to spin it.

All I know is that there's going to be great value at #50, and he better not f it up.

Carlos Hyde, Moses, Borland, Amaro, Roby, Nix ALL still there...

I don't think anyone understands the concept of trade down. You get an extra pick, and that's what you use for James, or Moses or Cyrus or whoever you want. Nobody picked an O lineman for the remainder of the first round. That's the point. But even if we did, we would have been able to do it and have an extra pick.

I think it is funny when you say overreacting to the fact that we overpaid at 19 for what we got. I don't think many are upset at who we got, I know I'm not. It looks highly probable that if Hickey played his cards right, we could have got James and a 3rd. How is that being greedy? Seriously? I am not bashing Hickey for it, but it is definitely worth mentioning and we over paid at 19 to fill a need. No big deal, but a fact!

A lot of people on here are just complete f-in morons & don't understand that. There's a lot of picks between 19 & 33 or 35. There were two trades of teams from the bottom of the first round up to the lower 20s. We certainly could have used either picks 26 & 83 from Cleveland or 27 & 91 from New Orleans & still have gotten James. This is a deep draft & we still need a RG, big RB, slot receiver, LB, & FS. You have to know how to work the draft.
