Yahoo: dolphins against the world

"Perhaps the Dolphins "handled" that matter "internally." That would mirror the advice Martin reportedly got from general manager Jeff Ireland when he informed him of Incognito's ways. Ireland, rather than getting involved himself as most workplace supervisors should, suggested that Martin respond with his fists."

This is a writer twisting the facts to fix his narrative. Martin informed Ireland after he had left, not directly, but through his agent. Via phone call.

But if you don't know the context you instead envision Martin walking up to Ireland on a field somewhere and telling him of all that's been done to him, and Ireland telling him hey, punch him.

There may be truth to it, but it's shaded just the right color for his articles point.

Check out the LaCanfora article for a more honest, open minded, in context summary of all this.

I absolutely believe that Martin went to Philbin, and I absolutely believe Philbin pretty much was shocked
that Martin did that, and probably told Martin to handle it and stop being a ****ing crybaby.

Going on Monday night and would be awesome if we came out swinging.

Will be there too.
I just read the article and what I concluded is that Martin was a good college player who isn't cut out for the rigors (mentally and physically) for the NFL. That is nothing to be ashamed of, as very few men are.
Coach Philbin has a responsibility to his players and assistants to get the team prepared to play football, NOT "self reflect" on what happened to Martin. There is limited preparation time from one game to the next and all this idiot writer is concerned about is that Philbin isn't pausing to think about Martin. Does the writer think that their opponents are going to go easy on them?
The PC media would like nothing more than to see the Dolphins collectively begging for forgiveness and forfeiting their season and laying down in each game to take their "deserved" punishment.

This season has so many high hopes and now look where we are in mid season. It would be a dream for us to come out with this uncontrollable anger and rage and take it on all of our opponents. No one has any sympathy for us anymore. They simply cast us aside into a hole of hungry media trying to ruin our legacy forever and hope we will be forgotten. RT and BH showed me that there is still fight. We can claw out of this, climb out and keep climbing until we are out of this **** hole. I hope they hate us I hope every team thinks we are done and our seasons is over. Idc if we get a bad draft spot right now. I just want Miami to find hate and rage use it to punch every team right in the mouth and finish the season of well. I am not talking about winning the superbowl or making the playoffs, I am talking about fighting for ourselves and what it means to be Miami Dolphins. The time has Dawned to turn the Tide. phinz up

Yep.

In the Military....In Football.....In any job that is in the warriors path, that's the way it is.
There's lots of good stuff that goes along with the warrior's path. Lots of great things up
and down the road, but the end is mostly rocky.

Here's the thing; You know that going in. When I was a young man I saw Earl Campbell go
from the baddest player on the planet to a man that couldn't hardly walk, even with crutches.
I still chose football. From that same young age, I saw the shock and horror that was Vietnam
and was a young man during lots of the fallout from the war. I still chose the Army.

When you choose a path in life, there's no going back and crying like a ****ing BITCH, becuase
it diminishes both yourself, and everyone that's taken that path. You don't get to have all
the adulation, and then cry about getting what you WISHED for later. Those types of men
absolutely sicken me.

That's because you are listening to a bunch of people with agendas and axes to grind.

Keep going brother.. Great stuff

Keep going brother.. Great stuff

I'm an *******, bully, and a hyprocrite according to some here.

To me, my wife, my three boys, and my dogs I'm just a dude that chose a path
and doesn't cry about it. I see nothing but dudes that walk around in
"Tap Out" gear, and are the worst sort of bitches on the planet.

Crooks...The worst Texas has to offer don't respect me because I can beat their ass.
Some I can, some I can't. But the point is, I'm a hard target and I daresay, I swim
amongst them like a fish in water. They enjoy having me around because they know
what's going to happen in a set of circumstances. I understand organizational norms,
I understand culture and context. They do what I tell them to do because they
WISH to, not because they HAVE to.

Sorry, that's self indulgent. But if you look back, I called those concussion lawsuit guys
bitches too. That's becuase they are. You instantly flip the switch between
"Warrior" and "Bitch" when you veer left.

Thanks for your service to your country Goon Boss. My dad served in the Marines and Air Force. He served in Vietnam in 1970-1971, and ran the Comm Center switchboard at Tan Son Nhut Air Base.

We're no heros.

Nor we ain't no blackguards too/Just single men in barracks/Most remarkable like you./

ETA; I didn't serve in Vietnam. I just realized how that came out. Full disclosure;
-I was born in '67.

-I was in the Army....NOT during Vietnam.

I was using the Vietnam war to illustrate the fact that I saw all the ugly part of the
Vietnam war, but I idolized soldiers to a degree.
