Yahoo says Harbaugh to Fins/Michigan because players are disgruntled

Really? Belichick has shown time and time again that he can stop the best offenses in the game.....two of them in the SB (Buffalo and St Louis) one without Brady and the other before Brady became Brady.....

Time and time again? Only during this time of his career,

Wow I guess we see those games differently.....not to take anything away from Brady but the Pats D held the greatest show on turf to 3 pts for the first 3 quarters in the biggest game of the yr the line was -14 rams...that 17-3 lead they had was due to 3 turnovers which the pats scored 17 pts the Defense allowed Brady to be Brady at the end of the game.....The Giants D went away from conventional wisdom of stopping the run to make him dink and dunk down the field....granted that Offense was essential in allowing the D employ that strategy but it was Belichick thinking outside the box that I admire, which is why his D game plan is in the HOF

The NE D did a great job for 3 qtrs. no doubt about it but blew a 14 pt 4th qtr lead too and remember that O when it was even better in 1999 was held to 11 pts at HOME in the NFC Championship game.

dink and dunk down the field? Buf only had the ball 19 minutes, almost a point a minute. if TOP was even Buf would have scored almost 30.

BB was an excellent DC and has developed into a good HC. The only reason he had time to develop into a good Hc was b/c of Brady or he would have been fired a long time ago but I think he's overrated as a HC. Brady masked a ton of issues he has had over the years. This year he is struggling to do that and the team is struggling.

Incredible for a huge football fan.

one thing I'd like to mention, our 9-7 in 2009 was much better than the 9-7 in 2008 when we had maybe our weakest sched ever and no Brady to deal with.

Actually the 09 team was 7-7 with 2*, at one point losing 5 out of 6 games and behind in game 15 15-10 after 35 minutes when Calwell and Polian pulled the starters and inserted the same Curtis Painter they used to tank for Luck who put up a 12QBR the rest of that game and a 15QBR for the full game the following week vs Buffalo. In game 14, at home, (you know the game where he blubbered in the presser that the jets blew their chance for the postseason), he lost at home 10-7 in December to a dead Atlanta dome team. And FWIW, after 35mins vs the Collts starters, the jets offense was responsible for generating 3 points, the other 7 coming from a Brad Smith kickoff return. So for all intents and purposes, that 9-7 was undeserved "fools gold" . Would they have beaten the Cinci starters if left in in week 16? Probably because that team was already in a tailspin, but when you're outscored 45-27 in 1 game and 35 minutes by the Colts starters, it's more likely it would have been an 8-8 season which is worse than Mangini's 9-7.

Putting that all together, and giving Rex credit for 2010, he has one unassisted winning season out of 5, and actually blew '11 when he was 8-5 going against 3 teams with losing records at that time, losing 2 of those games convincingly and I believe by 2 points to the then 5-10 Fins. And no divisional championships. Throw in player accusations that in '11 he was coddling the QB and the clubhouse was imploding, as well as off-field personal behavior diversions as well as tripgate under his watch.

So yes, I agree it is more than pure numbers, cuz he did a terrible job in '11 including not beating a single winning team.. yet still ended up 8-8. Interestingly starting with that game 14 in that '11 season, he's now won 15 out of 39 for a 38.5% winning percentage - That's Rich Kotite territory!
