Yahoo says Harbaugh to Fins/Michigan because players are disgruntled

That's going to depend on whether the SF GM can stand working with Harbaugh for another year. If the relationship has gotten much worse, perhaps they'll let Harbaugh out of the last year of his contract cheap, but it very well might cost us a #1.

I agree, its a realistic concern. Everyone knew Alex Smith couldnt stay in SF, yet they still wrestled away a couple second round picks for him.

Its not hard to imagine them getting the better of us if Ross gets antsy.

As much as id like Harbaugh, im not sure im willing to give up a top 15 pick for him. Second round or later im willing to listen. Passing on potentially elite talent? I dont think i have that much conviction.

Don't know why anyone would be excited to have a coach the players don't like. Harbaugh's personality rubs people the wrong way after a while. They've had a lot of success in San Francisco and they still don't like the coach...it would happen here eventually and then all you guys jumping for joy would end up turning on this guy just like the players in San Francisco.

We hired a coach a while back that rubbed many players the wrong way and was never greatly loved for having a warm and fuzzy personality. The players at his previous team, in fact, were not really all that broken up to see him leave.

I will give you 3 guesses who that was and any guess not named Don Shula does not count.

did u see what kaep did yesterday, speaking of stupidity?

it was 4th and 2 for the 49ers, they had the ball on the eagles 42, and the sent out the offense to try and draw them offsides to pick up the 1st down. we see it a ton of times, because worst thing, u just take the 5 yd penalty, and have more room to punt.

what did kaep do? he ****ing lets the clock run down to 2 secs, and rather than taking the delay of game like any qb would do, he ****ing calls timeout, and san fran still punts, rather than just taking the 5 yds, it was hilarious.

fortunately , it didn't cost them later in the game, although it easily could have, burning a timeout on stupidity like that.

Colin Kaepernick has some elite talent as a scrambler and runner. He is a borderline retard, though. Not a good quarterback.

If he can put the mental game together, he will be something special, but he is REALLY far off of that.

ya no doubt, he deff has talent, but ur right, mentally way off right now.

but he has had success with the 49ers the past few years, so ill give him that.

He is winning and they don't want him? No thanks. I rather get someone else next year.

You people are insane. He's a head case, screw that.

You also want him to bring Martin with him?

Martin will never see another day in Aqua and Orange. (Thank God.) As for Harbaugh, Yes I want him here. I don't give a rat's hairy a$$ if the players LIKE him. They just have to respect him. Saban was a prick and I hated him for how he left us, but the man was a great football coach. Joe Philbin is underwhelming as a head coach. Any man that has to read off que cards after an emotional team win is not cutting it imo. Not fiery enough for me. Emotion plays a huge part in inspiring a team. Harbaugh has that fire. Bring him in here to kick some a$$ and milk every drop of ability out of these underachievers.

Respect goes both ways, Harbaugh would be bad for this team. Remember how some players hated Saban? It would be more of the same. Don't need any more head cases in Miami for a while.

Saban was NOT a great football coach in the most competitive arena for us. At best he was mediocre and a case can be made that without Scott Linehan, he was actually a sub-par NFL coach... as well as a liar and quitter. And an awful de facto GM as the fleeting successes of most of his picks would indicate. He's also the moron who passed on Aaron Rodgers, drafted a part time RB and signed a journeyman QB best known for banging his head against walls. Sorry but I'm getting the same megalomaniac vibe from Harbaugh. I could be wrong but, who here would have wanted Saban if we had the benefit of a wayback machine? Now if you said "Pete Carroll" who's actually had previous NFL HC experience, wasn't a poseur, was almost as successful a college coach and is now a SB building and winning coach, I'd say "hell yeah" sign him up if we could get him!" He also proves that you don't have to be an azzhole to galvanize and incentivize the players to win big time.

Be careful what you wish for. If players are pissed at Harbaugh in San Francisco then what free agents would want to come to Miami to play for him??!!! I think he's done at the NFL level. He's a jackass.

Also found it interesting to see that the article states our owner is "working covertly" behind the scenes to make this happen. Didn't think he had the football cajones. lol.

What are you talking about...he tried to covertly hire him a few years back when Sparano was here and failed. This led to Ross being criticized for his ineptitude and he ended up giving Sparano an extension.

My opinion is screw Harbaugh, if he didn't want to come here in the first place then I don't want him here after he has been chased out of SF.

You guys are actually serious about wanting Harbaugh? and you are willing to give up picks for him? :bobdole:

Under what scenario does he bring Martin with him? Are their contracts tied together somehow? Are you under the delusion that Harbaugh thinks Martin is integral to building a winning team? You call Harbaugh a "head case" and in the very next sentence you write something that makes absolutely no sense.
