The way preseason has gone, the reporting being done and the rats jumping off the ship... National news has the Dolphins picking in the top 3 next year... We've been waiting years to pass this turd, let's do this.

Ok, I'm having a bit of fun at my own expense, maybe it'll make a few of you smirk a little.

I really don't expect us to do badly enough to get Gase fired this year. I think we'd have to win 3 games or less for that to happen.

Even if we did terrible this year I think Gase wouldn't be fired until after the season is over unless we start the season 0-10 or something. Either way, we will win just enough games for Gase to keep his job.

Personally I don't think Gase is the worst coach in the league but he is awful at evaluating talent and can't get along with the few talented players he has or had. Firing Gase in its self isn't enough for the team to truly turn the right direction we need to hire a educated GM after firing Tannenbum and let the new guy being in a coach that fits his vision for the franchise.

This combo of Gase and Tannenbalm is a Cancer to the organization. If both of them got fired today I'd still say it was overdue

Gase isn't going anywhere. We're not going to be very good, but we're not going to be that degree of bad.

People are really losing their minds over two preseason games. I think that we should all keep in mind that these games are as much about reintroducing RT to the speed and pace of live NFL action as they are for other objectives. Our starting qb has looked good when you consider all that he has been through in the last 18 months. That is the "win" that I was looking for as a starting point. The chemistry on offense will start to blossom organically if a.) Tannehill can stay healthy, b.) Our offensive line starts to gel as a cohesive unit and show progress, and c.) Drake seizes his role as our starting rb. If those three things occur and we keep the dumb penalties to a minimum, there is no reason why the 2018 Miami Dolphins can't regain the form that the 2016 squad had offensively. (Btw I voted for Gase. Sorry OP, but even IF he is fired, it wont be until after the season lol)

But FWIW, if any coach on this staff is going to get himself fired in the next 5 months, my money is on Matt Burke.

It doesn't seem to work like that here. Burke's job in all likelihood is safe unless we are giving up video game numbers each game. Next offseason he would be on the hot seat.

If Ross has proven anything as an owner, it's that he doesn't fire people quickly.

Gase is open to being fired if Tannehill goes down and fales fails He will have to take respsonsibility for not having a backup. Other than that he has been the best thing to happen to this team at the HC spot in a long time.
