How much is direct TV? Don't you get the NFL ticket for free with it for one year?
 
I think you have to pay the full NFL ticket price which is 220 bucks spread out over 4 months, but you get your first 4 months of programming free. tivo price is 5 bucks a month.
 
Screw that monopoly i hate DTV only because living in an apartment with no balcony or building dish i cant get it. It bull **** that cable can give you every sport package except NFL. Direct Tv did a good job of wrapping it up untill 2006. But it should be illegal for only them to offer the package. You should be at least allowed to order one game at a time. Its bull**** that i can watch images from all over the world but not a football game in another city

When I lived on the lower level of a two story apartment I still got directv, they just went up on the roof and installed the dish. Have you called them and had them come over and take a look?
 
The HD receiver and local air HD antenna were $350 ($299 plus $49) compared to $599 from Circuit City.
The NFL Sunday Ticket is four payments of $62 but they give you four months of their largest programming package free for ordering, so it practically pays for itself.

I got two additional receivers and installation for it all for free. My total DirectTV bill will only be $15 more than my old cable but now I will have about 50 more channels, HD, and have TV in three rooms versus the two now.

So overall its a good deal.
 
Any chance that any of these people know how to hook up their DTV and TiVO so that you can share video over the internet to other desperate folks who won't be able to watch the Dolphins preseason games?
 
Man, I love my NFL Sunday Ticker/NFL Channel, and it's not just for you dudes. I ordered and then told my husband. That was in December 1998, and we have never looked back. Welcome to the Other Side. Hopefully your family will enjoy it with you, that way you can get your kids started off right. My 3 year old son goes around the house saying "Touchdown Dolphins!" It's the greatest. Alright Miami

dude, it is the best damn thing ever. every game every sunday...NFL total access.....all the old follies videos...playbook...man it is a must for EVERY NFL FAN!:bandwagon
 
I took out a student loan to get direct TV in school 8 years ago and have been happy ever since. I still have very little money, but I have a 65 inch TV with HD-direct TV for sports. I'm in heaven.
 
I've had the 50inch flat screen for awhile, but just got my high def DirecTV the other day. I'm amazed at the quality and can't wait to see the NFL games. The HD picture is truly amazing. You can see sweat flying off hair, bruises swelling (ok...I was watching soccer at the time), and you can read the text on the trash drifting across the field. Gorgeous!

As other have mentioned, you are NOT complete without TIVO!! TIVO is like a powerful drug. You will not want to live without it once you inhale some.
