Yermiah Bell to be cut

I like Bell's character and leadership just as much as anyone on here, but honestly this was 3-4years too late. We should have got a better Safety in all this time:rolleyes2:

I'm saying this based on what I remember from last year, I don't have any stats or anything to back it up. Anyone have any substantive stats on our secondary from last year?

Well, I'm just going off of what I remember as well and I guess we have two very different opinions of what was going on

I've been telling fans this was bound to happen the past 2 months....we're starting over as we should be

Starting over from what?? ... continued rebuilding?

Starting over from starting over???? Redo?? Mulligan??

Not a bad move really of all the dumb moves we've made already. Save about 4 million towards the cap and allows us to get younger at the position. I don't think we're going to be in any contention for the division so it's good to get someone young in there and let him learn, plus bell isn't getting up there in age so not bad overall

I actually dont hate this move. Think its one of the few good decisions Ireland has made this off-season.

This^^

What is it called when you've been rebuilding for close to 2 decades?? :ponder:

If this is for Anderson then I think its a wise move. we still may be able to get Bell back.

I think its a positive if Gerrard is only signed for one year. That would be a good move meaning our QBs will come from the draft.

I am having a huge deja vu moment. It is telling that something big is going to happen. But honestly I don't even believe that anymore... And I have a very strange deja vu history. That was inacted when I died from falling of the high dive and fracturing my skull at the age of 10. Long story but it is kind of freaky.

Guys I understand some of you fellas getting aggravated by this move. But understand this, im a big a fan of bell like most of you here but lets get real. We know the dude is a tackle machine, is a great leader, has heart & is a great story of how he paid his way through college by pumping iron. Anyways to this move, yeremiah had a great year in 07' but hasn't replicated that season at all, he was ballhawking that year. Apart from that great year he really isn't a ballhawk, rather a seaull. He is barely around the ball to make a play in the air and its always in his zone. The guy has had Td's caught in front of his assignation in the endzone, I've seen it too many times. Lastly, the game vs philly, look at d jacks TD, Yeremiah doesn't have the greatest hips, got caught flat footed & just doesn't have great cover skills. Woulda loved him to stay, but unfortunately this is a business where loyalty can be gone with the wind. He was making too much money for his above average play & he's 34!,which means decline soon. This is exactly how most cowgirls fans felt after they released Roy Williams, great tackler & 8th man in box but boy did he suck in coverage. No doubt tho he is one of the best defensive players we've had in team history. Good luck Y man where ever you go, will always be a fan! :) .. Well except when he faces us lol. So guys chillax & yes we all know Ireland is trash & a douchie but this has nothing to do with him being that, just a football oriented decision. /Air gasp
