Yet another RB thread.

### One agent said the Dolphins told him they will be looking for a running back in the draft, and they feel they can find one in the mid-rounds if necessary. The top prospects --- all potential second-rounders --- include Ohio State’s Carlos Hyde, Auburn’s Tre Mason, Baylor’s Lache Seastrunk and Washington’s Bishop Sankey.... ESPN reported that Denver free agent running back Knowshon Moreno would love to join the Dolphins, but there's no indication if the interest is mutual.

its not 1970 and the philbin/lazor shotgun offense is not going to feature a power back. move on.

No rookies please!!! We drafted Miller and Thomas... and we saw how that went... yet the good RB's we've had we have signed in free agency... e.g. Ricky Williams and Reggie Bush.

Daniel Thomas has to go and he must be replaced by a vet! Bad things will happen to those who do not heed my words.

I don't think we can intelligently observe our rb situation. Miller has to have a hole to run through. I think the efforts should be on fixing our oline. When the blocking up front gets better then we will know what we have in miller and Tanny as well. If we can get a decent vet back on the cheap then fine, but if it involves trading pick the no. We need the picks to help build depth on the oline. We still need another 4 to 5 linemen. Untill that line is fixed it won't matter if we have mercury morris back there he won't go anywhere.

Having a RB will help add balance to the offense and take some pressure off the oline.. It's a two way street. We need both oline and RB help.

Path to the Draft is talking about how so many teams love FSU RB Devonta Freeman. I've been told Dolphins are on that shortlist.

That's a confusing tweet. There are so many teams interested in Freeman, yet the list is short?

What crazy logic is this

I'm an official fan of Lache Seastrunk. That kid has nifty moves, a bit of speed (he definitely plays faster than the other 4.5'ish RB's), more power than most of those small backs, and hits the hole with great acceleration. He may be the closest thing to a poor man's Barry Sanders in this draft.

Davonta Freeman is a decent back, but not special IMHO. I'd prefer Tre Mason or Bishop Sankey. None of these FA's at RB seem worth investing in. Age, injuries, price ... just no great deals there. All of them have lost a lot of tread on their tires it seems.

That's about how I see it too. While we really need a power back more than a speed back, I just don't see the great fit power back. Hyde and Hill are not ideals for us.

Given Hickey's love of Ray Rice and plucking of the Muscle Hampster gem that is Doug Martin, I definitely see Seastrunk, Mason and Sankey as targets ... and that may be how they're ranked too. Mason might be the most coveted, but the margin is slim and debatable ... and Mason will definitely be drafter higher because other teams clearly prefer him. I will be very happy if we land Seastrunk in the middle rounds. Miller will get his carries, but he's more a speed back than a cutback runner or power guy.
