You will never guess Omar Kelly's Phins 1st pick

I think the entire QB class in underrated (at least by the fans, we'll see what the actual GMs think come draft day) and while there is no sure top 3 talent I think there are 6 or 7 guys that are possibly mid first to late second round talent. So it probably wouldn't make sense for us to take any of them in the first but I think there will be plenty of opportunities where the value is just too good to pass up later on. You would be foolish to pass on McCarron in the third or Murray in the fourth or even Boyd in the fifth or sixth. Personally, what I would do is try to trade a 2015 pick to get McCarron late second or early third, as far as I can tell nobody with his stats and measurables has ever gone outside of the first round, not even Tebow, so the value in late second, let alone late third is way too good to pass up. One thing I've noticed is passer rating stats seem to be skewed in favor of "athletic" QBs (and recently I think I've figured out why that is the case) and McCarron is not an athletic QB so his passer rating stats are very likely the real deal, and his stats are better than any QB I've looked at coming out recently and may even be the best ever.

Combine that with his frame, his 10" hands and the fact that he's actually won a championship and the disrespect he's receiving is absolutely mind boggling to me.

I don't see us drafting a qb but if we were, Bortles would be a solid pick. That kid has great field vision, something not easily taught.

Omar Kelly is an absolute attention whore. The wilder crap he says, he thinks the more papers he will sell or mor twitter followers he will have. When you make such a rediculous prediction no one will take it seriously, so in turn he doesn't have to answer for it. He is so ****y, and the guy is an effing idiot. If I saw the dude I would confront him and tell him what an arrogant. jerk he is. Its easy to cut down a team when they are not winning consistently, try energizing the fan base and being positive, douche.
I don't care that he isn't positive, but the guy is an arrogant buffoon, totally unable to hide his contempt for the Fins and their fans.

It's funny because I guarantee you that narcissist reads these boards on here from time to time, and I love the responses every time his name is muttered.

Be careful or he will give you the *rolls eyes* or "point to the corner*. Or he may even tell you about his Air Jordan shoes that make him so cool.

Not defending him but you have to look at his reasoning and how the board was. Bortles was his BPA. The only players that I would have mocked to Miami based on that board:

1. Marqise Lee
2. RaShede Hageman
3. Jason Verrett

And all three wouldn't be ideal. While I think Lee is perfect for this offense, he's going to have to battle Hartline/Gibson and even then he'd be a #2. One could argue DT not being a need depending on Mitchell's play. CB is a need imo but do you want a corner that's smaller than Grimes going up against Mike Williams, Denarius Moore, Jarret Boykins, Alshon Jeffrey Cecil Shorts, etc.?

Yes but Omar says a top GM in the NFL knows the great work Omar does. LMAO!!! The guy is delusional.

I thought Ireland is a consultant, now.

Seriously (?)...
  1. No way does Bortles make it past Minny
  2. It shocks me that Omar did not select a OL. Allegedly, no one knows line play like Omar.

What you say is exactly why McCarron will go in the late 1st round or early 2nd.

If Bortles were there at 19, we would be foolish not to take him. He wont be there however.

Personally, I think we should take McCarron at 19. I would also love it if we took Murray. Murray will go by the 3rd however.

Finally, youre correct. This is a great QB class. There are a handful of QBs who should be taken in rounds 1-3 who could be really good NFL starters. We need to draft one of them. Next years QB class is terrible and we do not want to be left without a QB after Tannehill gives us another unimpressive season.

Oh and btw........ Taj Boyd is terrible. I have no idea why anyone thinks he is worth a draft pick in any round. I wouldnt take Taj Boyd if there were 30 rounds in the draft. Boyd cant hit the broad side of a barn with a football. Also, the idea of a "project" QB who is "groomed" is completely outmoded. It simply dosent exist anymore. Sure you can throw Tony Romo out there, but Dallas did not spend a draft pick on him. No team should spend a draft pick on something that is a 1-1000 shot. It isnt even worth a roster spot to keep some no talent player as your 3rd string QB who you consider a "project".

Almost all of the late round picks at QB who are good right now, such as Brady(he might be the only one come to think of it), werent "groomed" or "projects". Granted he got in there because Bledsoe got injured, he was still obviously the primary backup and he came in right away and played well.

Guys who sat the bench for a bit and are currently good starters(Rodgers might be the only one), was a 1st round pick.

So if you think youre going to spend a 6th or 7th rounder on a scrub like Logan Thomas and develop him into some kind of good QB, you may as well give your draft pick away. Use your picks on players you honestly believe can come in and be solid players.

I don't know anything about Tajh except he has amazingly good passer rating stats for where he might go, but I think I've figured out why the athletic guys like RGIII seem to have artificially high passer rating stats and that is because their threat to run has a similar effect as play action does on the defense. I agree that I don't think he'll amount to anything in the NFL but I would still take him late over taking nobody.
