Your...Day 2 prediction

I accidentally hit the thumbs down when I was trying to hit thumbs up.

I agree with you on getting another WR. I felt we should have gotten Cooks or Dix and picked up James in RD 2.

I completely agree. If we couldn't trade down then we should have planned on taking a difference maker in round one and trading up in the second to get James or Bitonio or Moses or Cyrus or whoever the hell they wanted.

BUT (and in all honesty who cares what I think) - if we somehow manage to grab Marquise Lee in the second round then I'll be pretty happy all in all because at least Lee could have been a pick at 19 (a minor reach) as opposed to James who was definitely a second day pick. Lee could at least be a game changer on special teams and lined up ooposite Mike Wallace when we want to run the ball

Hopefully TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins.

Failing that TE Troy Niklas

If either is available.

Tends to happen when you are a mediocre team drafting . mediocre players for over a decade.

Yea but we have a new GM can we please allow him a whole draft before we judge. Do you agree that James is an instant starter and an upgrade?

Id love to trade up for Lee. I'd be content with that

If they trade up for Lee, that's an immediate salvaging of this thing. He's exactly, exactly, exactly what we need. A polished receiver who can transition after the catch and make plays with the football. The Bizarro Brian Hartline, as it were.

Yeah but it is kind of dumb to do if the guy hasn't taken one snap yet.

Well, as Gonzo said, "Tends to happen when you are a mediocre team drafting mediocre players for over a decade." So basically, does not matter who Miami drafts, or why, as far as many here are concerned, the pick was a fail.

And maybe then we can pretend lee was 1st and james 2nd.

if the team is bent on fixing the line once and for all, then XFS would be the player i would want. perfect zone blocking guard. the kids get off is wicked and he is strong and has a real mean streak and gets into the next level and rides his guy all over the field.

i wanted to go DB, early and often and get a rt in the 3rd and a later guard. we have to get one somewhere between now and the 3rd, but NOT waiting till after the 3rd.

play making rb. both of ours are poop and there are 3 that would put them on the bench right off the bat. and even a play making wr if there. our lb's have nothing special. it needs life. one of the better lb's if available would be a wise choice. but, i have a sneaking suspicion they are focusing on the o-line early as we need it AND they have to have a quality line in place so they can decide if they want to pay tanny the big bucks. NO MORE EXCUSES for him. at this point, he is a franchise guy or not. hickey didnt draft him and would have no problem replacing him should he still show his weaknesses with an improved line.

I would have been happy with Lee in the 1st and a trade-up for James, so... sure. Works for me!

Seriously though, I think we need to draft TE and WR. TE because who do we have to complement Clay? Nobody. Nobody. NOBODY.

WR because, uh, yeah.

Maybe we can take a flier on Keller or Finley. But i agree unless Sims can develop
