Your Miami Dolphins quarterback

Considering the running game is ranked bottom 1/3 of the league in every major statistical category and we are among the worst 2 teams in converting 1st downs with runs and in short yardage rushing, I'd say that's a positive

And on the other hand Robert Griffin's running game is among the top 1/3 in the league in every major statistical category
I'd say it's a positive either way. Average is about what should be expected from him right now.

However, given that those variables, like I said, are strongly correlated with winning, improvement is going to have to occur in pretty large strides for this team to become competitive at a high level.

Given his current experience level, I'd be very surprised if he doesn't continue to rise relative to the rest of the NFL with regards to those stats (TD/INT ration & passer rating)

He's seems like a bright kid, and has shown considerable improvement on maneuvering within and out of the pocket.

Not really sure why others get upset when you call him average. I take that as a ringing endorsement at this stage in his career

All true and there's nothing negative anyone should really be saying about it. People were complaining the Dolphins should have won by 40 yesterday and placed the blame on Tannehill. Had Sturgis not ****ed up his kick and had the Dolphins OL/run game been able to gain a yard in two attempts to score, you might've seen a 33-3 win.

Tannehill admitted he missed the throw to Clay.

Excellent job. There should be no doubt for the Tannehill haters now that he is a complete bust. Yes I'm being sarcastic. If he had an oline and a running game no telling where we would be now. Probably 2 more wins.

Agreed. Lets not forget where RT might be if he had a decent O Co-ord as well.

Stop with Aaron Rodgers comparisons. Thats just silly

I don't think he was insinuating that Tanny was better, rather posting factual statements based on numbers.

We all now Rodgers missed games so that explains it.

I love stats....and I love the way haters can twist them and add crap, like , "if Marino, Aikman, Elway , and Rodgers had played all season (this year) , they would have better statistics than Tannehill".
Yeah, and if a bullfrog had a glass ass, he wouldn't jump so high.

"Homers" can twist stats the same way.

This is why you stick to the stats that are most strongly correlated with winning, and make comparisons on the basis of those, rather than "reaching" for stats that are meaningless.

Nice Work!
Those stats really do show Tanne is doing some good work...even great work, if you consider the nightmare around him!
Get a new OC, improve the O-line, RB, and add this year's experience and Miami will surely tack on a few more W's...next year.
I hate even typing "next year" but what can you do...

How does he do late in games?? How does he do with one possession left needing to win a game?? That is what seperates the great qbs.

How come anyone who doesn't think RT is the next marino is a hater??
He is pretty good, definitely worth keeping and trying to grow in to a great QB. Now he is slightly above average IMO.
I don't think anyone can say he is the real deal, or a bust as of yet..
