I was wrong

I have been a J Cut supporter mainly because I have this hope that his ceiling may give us a chance come playoff time....Honorable mention to his superior arm talent.

And we all know what MM looked like in the playoffs....

But it cannot be said enough how when MM got in their today:

The entire team elevated their play....

They played with more energy.....

MM was extremely decisive and had sound mechanics...

He looked overall, more comfortable in this offense then Cut has.....

Here's to one of these guys taking the reigns and getting us a playoff win...

So tired of hearing how Matt Moore played in the last two games last year. The defense had almost no stops those entire last two weeks. Rambo was making 5 yard slants TD's because he couldn't take a proper angle. Yeah Moore didn't play well enough to overcome that. Just like Tannehill didn't play well enough to overcome that against the Ravens whose gameplan NE practically ran verbatim the two times we faced them (In fairness Tanenhill was a play away from coming back against NE week two, of course AFTER we got them to their third string QB in the second half).

If it were that easy to overcome an ineffective defense in the playoffs, Dan Marino would have had a SB ring.

MM actually threw the ball extremely well in the Playoff game.....

It was his two fumbles that sealed our fate. He was trying to do far too much on those plays....

And you are correct, our defense was not good, by any means....

But its one thing to come back against the Jets in week 7 in a wacky game....

It's something completely different to play sound football in the postseason....

Cutler has done that before, and the hope is that we could emulate that this season with us...

But imho, I don't think either one of these guys can take care of the football well enough for us to win in the postseason, or at least not right now anyways.....

So I will conclude in the same fashion, here is to hoping one of them takes the reigns....

Or we all may be arguing right now about the more stylish way to lose....

Since this is a post about beibg wrong!!!

How about some love for Julius Thomas!!! Some said he didn't care.... he was fat, lazy, unmotivated... He had some clutch catches today.

He had a sweet one handed catch. But he also had a key drop.

Verdict - He still looks old, slow and out of shape....

Adds Maualuga. I was major critical of these two as well. It still too soon to revert my judgement. But I will gladly write two more similar posts if it turns out to be true.

So no other team win so because of misse FGs or other teams throwing 3 times when they could have run it 3 times kicked a FG and won. a SB. You keep bringing up these other coachs yet they didn’t win like he has. Our team is making less mistakes than the other team last I checked that is what the good coachs get their teams to do to win. Teams that are not coaches that well commit stupid pentalies and make mistakes that cost them games. Until that happens he is a good coach as he racks up W’s.

Of course it happens sometimes elsewhere, but that wasn't the only reason we won games under Philbin/Gase we shouldn't have, there were like 3 games last year we shouldn't have won that didn't have anything to do with fgs from what I recall. As far as penalties there have seemed to be a lot of plays called back on penalties from what I remember this year, and that people have said our practices have had our offense uprepared. W's and L's a lot of times don't tell the story, thinking that will set you up for shock. Once the luck goes away you will see what is really happening, not saying all our wins are luck but we should probably be 2-4 right now.

To all those who thought Moore was a worse option than Cutler and were down on him I can only say : "Ye A-Holes of little faith!".......I've said it from the beginning (and anyone can look back through my posts to confirm) that the Cutler signing was a bad move and unnecessary huge expense brought on by a panicked coach (who for some reason still seems to feel Cutler is a world beater....he's not) and we should have just rolled with Moore.

Is Moore an elite QB????...No.....Is he a world beater either???.....No.....but he is a guy who is certainly no worse than Cutler at this point......and he was here getting paid and we didn't blow an extra $10 million on him which may result in us losing talent because of that boneheaded move.

Had some nice catches today...he's still a guy who doesn't even look like the same player who was in a Broncos uniform a few years ago. He was a very fluid and quick player for a TE. Clutch catches or not he looks like a slug out there now. I haven't seen a slower TE since Egnew.

Both Cutler and Moore are equals. However, it seemed that when Moore came in the other players raised their game. If Moore is able to get the team to rise around him then I would prefer him. At the end of the day, we are going to need both behind this line. Finally, I think Pouncey should have rested this week.
I think he should have rested this year.

Can we stop this Pittsburgh crap? I can give you two dozen QBs who over the years sucked playing Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh with snow in a playoff game. Some of them are HoF bound. Using that game as a negative against Moore is pathetic at best especially coming from a fan of a team which made the playoff twice in the last 14 or 15 years and whose last playoff win against anybody is 1 1/2 decades ago.

This.
Playing Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh in playoff is no easy task. Don't think any qb since Marino can win that game. Including a healthy RT.

Can we just for a moment revel in the fact that Adam Gase has gone 13-4 with three different quarterbacks. No matter how you cut it, and despite a lack of dominant wins, that's pretty impressive and proves truth to the notion that he was an offensive guy who can adapt to the hands he dealt.

Great point. But at this juncture I don't know who should be our MVP, Gase, smoke or mirrors? If we get Tannehill back next year and fix the OL (yeah, I know, pipe dream), then maybe we can go from building a good team that squeaks by to becoming a good team that imposes our will on opponents. I wouldn't mind an occasional two-score victory margin. :D

Tannenbaum has had years to fix the o-line, and has failed. Well, to be fair to Tannenbaum, I also think that Philbin and Gase (who admittedly favors the same style of offense and o-line play as Philbin) want the wrong type of o-linemen. They want athletic "finesse" style linemen to execute their blocking schemes, but the end result is an o-line that is consistently manhandled by physical d-lines.

Good for you man. It takes courage and strength of character to admit when we're wrong. You have a lot more of both those qualities than a number of other people in these forums. Some people just stubbornly refuse to have their eyes open and think for themselves...

We won who cares. The argument over who starts is ridiculous once we win.
Like this guy!
