2009-2010 Miami Heat Thread: Race to the Finish

the heat look like they are for real this year, q-rich better fit than moon

They've certainly improved from last year, but I'm not quite sold that they are for real just yet. They've had a pretty easy schedule so far and if they beat Cleveland tomorrow, I wouldn't make too much out of it since they'll be on the second night of a back to back. Hopefully they'll continue to take care of business and we'll see how they look around mid-season.

It has been an easy schedule but the defensive prowess has to be encouraging. Aside from one lousy quarter against the Suns where Nash tore them up the Heat have been playing really solid basketball.

The main thing that scares me is the nonexistent depth. It does get a little better with Cook coming back, assuming hes healthy. Still there isn't much at C or PG, and this team is going to struggle if O'Neal, Wade or Chalmers goes down.

I think we're ok at point guard with Chalmers and Arroyo. When is Magloire coming back? He did ok for us last year.

Magloire is back, and sitting very comfortably on the bench. If JO gets hurt again hes probably the starter....Anthony seems best suited to be the energy man off the bench.

the thing i am noticing is they are finishing teams off in the 4th they are not letting them finish the comeback

Disappointing defensive effort to say the least. I don't think anybody played particularly well.

Dunk on Varejao was sick though.

AWESOME!!!!

Just got back from the game. D-Wade for the mother ****in' win! Shouldn't have been this close, though.

The Heat minus Chalmers and O'Neal aren't a very good team. Never hurts to have Wade on your side.....what a shot.
