Big 10 might expand to 12 teams...

Why hasn't anyone brought up Memphis from the sorry CUSA? That would be more of a basketball move, though.

cause they'd have no shot in recruiting and they're not a consistent power house consistently in CUSA (which is even true in basketball since it was only a couple years ago they didn't even make the tourny).

They have a solid kid coming in this yr though, top 5 in the country I think.

This cracks me up how people mention Rutgers still...
WAKE UP...the team had one decent season with a cake schedule after SEASON AFTER SEASON AFTER SEASON of complete embarassement. In two years, Rutgers will be back to being miserable.

And for the record...there is not a single team in the Big East that could compete in the Big 10. Even West Virginia or Louisville would end up with seasons like Northwestern or Purdue.

its not about competing. It's about TV MARKET SHARE, Market Size, basketball as well as football........and quality of the school. The ONLY Big East schools that could jump or that the Big Ten would consider are Pitt, Syracuse, and Uconn. They fit the bill for the Big 10. No other Big East teams do

They shouldnt do this the big ten is good the way it is. You dont need a championship game in the division that just hurts your chance by forcing a possible rematch. Divisions like the Big 12 and SEC got it wrong they made the divisions too big. Plus it will take away from games like OSU Michigan because most of the time they would be playing each other two weeks in a row. Once the last week of the year as they always have and once in the Championship game considering they are usually the best two teams

put ohio st and mich in the same division. that way that will never happen. And their game will usually decide who wins their division.
