Daniel Kilgor cap implications for the next three seasons

Fans are starting to see how removing certain negative influences on a team can suddenly open the door to optimism.

Regardless how you feel about Landry, Suh, Pouncey or Ajayi, it's hard to deny the breath of fresh air we now have with an energetic front office's efforts to replace them with better value players who do not suck the life out of the fanbase.

Think of how much drama, energy and arguments have been had justifying the cutting or keeping of each above player.

That energy now spreads to optimistic thoughts of how these new players give us options and a different team strategy.

We have two new OL that give us value now and a bridge to future. Including a respected LG. Two new WRs that give us options moving forward and change the dynamics of our offensive focus. And some new blood on the DL.

Cutting Suh and Pouncey and trading Landry and Ajayi sends a very clear message to the team: No matter how important you think you are to the team, the team is the only thing that is important. No one is safe.

These are nad moves by Gase. And I like them. It's about time we had a HC with a pair of balls. He walked into his locker room and shipped out 4 players many thought were untouchable.

Gase just pulled a Billy Beane.

This is how you structure a contract for a guy who may or may not be expendable.

This was a 1 year deal with essentially a team option each of the next 2 years. Very team friendly.

Expect Tannenbaum to restructure if the need arises.

Haha - don't tempt fate like that!

That's a great team friendly contract. If he plays well, he's a great +2 option. If he doesn't (or get's hurt) he can be moved on from.

The best part of all of these moves is, even if they do not work out we are still in better cap shape for next year. Suhs contract was horrible
