DEFENSE!!! Where is It????

Seems like a lot of yards for what we are paying $$ our DL...not getting our moneys worth IMO ..with lots of other needs
 
I still think a part of the D's problems are blown coverages. A number of times there were 2 CBs on the sa.e receiver
 
The defense sucks but it’s the 2000 Ranvens compared up the offense. It actually gave the offense 2 or 3 chances to get back in the game but they failed miserably. I see why Cutler is the easy choice over Moore now and don’t get me wrong Cutler sucks. Tough year!

Gase and his offense are the biggest embarrassment on this team guys. It’s not even close.

The reason for being in the middle of the pack is because the first five weeks help balance the numbers, but if you just look at how they have played over the last 6 weeks, you can argue that they are playing as bad of defense as anyone in the league.

Not Have the 26th ranked scoring defense in the league. The most important defense statistic there is
 
LB play is killing us, definitely an area that needs an upgrade most urgently.
 
The scheme is terrible. The release WR's and let them roam free in the middle. How many times have they left WR's and TE's wide open. Running any type of zone scheme is a complete waste of time and it is useless. You can not win in the NFL with a zone. Get a Defensive Coordinator that runs tight man to man, bump and run, and likes to blitz.

Lots of teams run zone schemes, we just suck at it. One of the plays yesterday is a microcosm of the problems. It's 3rd and 14 and we give up big gainer in the middle of the field to Cooks. In most zone schemes, the linebackers have enough depth to force the QB to throw over the top and attempt to squeeze the ball into a tight window before the over coverage can make a play. Not the Dolphins. Our CB and our safety followed the same receiver to the corner route and the linebackers had no depth. Cooks had 20 yards of space on the in cut. Not a difficult throw.

These errors in the coverage show up over and over again. There is something fundamentally wrong with the way our coaches are teaching coverage principles.
 
We need a real defensive coordinator, a proven veteran DC. Not some assistant that Gase knows on a personal level. A veteran DC that has experience.

We need a REAL D Coordinator, period!!!
